Does anyone know the full name of co-driver Giraud, perhaps Paul Giraud?

Any idea what happened to the original bodywork from 0300M after the re-body by Oblin ?

    no.90....serial number 0302TF ?
can you give more information why it would be the 0302TF?
But I have to say, I don't know what else it would be or why not the 0302TF...therefore thank you for "bring light into the dark"
    regards
    Ivo

Some would say speculation but I’m convinced #90 at Dolomiti is the car crashed by Ascari at GP dell’Autodromo, now with a Vignale spyder body, later rebodied again with a Scaglietti spyder body.
I will have the opportunity to come back in detail to this car and its two sisters.

Also speculation that this is the Vignale coupe bodied car seen in many publicity shots that (maybe) appeared for practice at GP Autodromo Monza without it's roof. One very indistinct photo is out there. Much debate to be had here as we all know about the cars with 2 if not 3 chassis numbers stamped on them. More opinions welcomed.

The car you are talking to is a Vignale spyder (different of #90 at Dolomiti) which was also entered at Nürburgring (I will post a pic). The body is so close than the wonderful Vignale coupe 4 cylinders that it’s almost sure the roof was removed. Later raced by Bonomi in South America. Possibly 0306TF although it’s very difficult to be 100 % sure as three cars (0302TF, 0304TF and 0306TF) have been restamped several times...

Sorry Cyril, I take that back. In the full size shot of #90 at Dolomiti it can be clearly seen that there are louvres on the lower front wing (fender). Only one car had those and that is the restored car which is accepted ? as 0304TF. So much confusion on these cars it is catching me out with my own notes. Sorry again. My comments above still stand but not for the Dolomiti car.

#90 at Dolomiti has a different shape than
    0304TF (future Milan’s car) and 0306TF (future Bonomi’s car).
It must be the car #14 crashed by Ascari at GP dell’Autodromo, rebodied with a Vignale spyder body and rebodied again as Scaglietti spyder at the end of the year 1953.
As I said, the car you are taking to is 0306TF, the future Bonomi’s spyder.

I find it difficult to be specific on the shape of the cars as photos are taken from all sorts of angles and some people post photos which have been distorted. Milan also used colour schemes which deceive the eye. Here is a montage showing 0304TF with Milan and after restoration displayed alongside the Dolomiti entrant. What discernible differences are you seeing. If you tell me how to do it I can e-mail the full size pictures as I think the web-site automatically reduces the size for display. Well, we agree, but that does not make us right or wrong with regard to these cars. I have not found any clues, suggestions or speculation as to what happened to the Ascari car between July and December. Perhaps others might care to join the conversation.

We will perhaps see more clearly when have reviewed all the races (Nürburgring, Senigallia...) to come with these 4 cylinders. I have all the pics.
