Lol….definitely not. Makes one wonder what else is wrong or missing from this example. But let’s be realistic. The asking price is $550k. I would not be surprised to see it sell for well under $500k. Simple things can be addressed. But I suspect there are more than a few mechanical problems with this car.

 

Cannot bear to look at the 'nerf bars'. Thay did nothing inasmuch as protection,
and in a hit, even worse.
Never like them, never will. They look so fake, and spoil otherwise perfect lines.
Besides, the holes in the bumpers, quite a $$$ to undo.

09393 wasn't even washed, cleaned and detailed before producing this video.
Kumar's Gullwing Motor Car Company in Astoria/NY had it in 2021. And before that it had been with at least seven other dealers.

Oddly, I think the bars are actually sort of interesting. So much so that I even bought a set of bumpers with a bar; though admittedly I have not put them on my car.

Pretty common on UK Daytonas, and if not fitted in period, they were fitted not much after that.

To me, anything that it was common to see when cars were new(-ish) is a curiosity that is not unreasonable to preserve.

Pininfarina offered it for the 330 GTC and 330 GTS. Here's the blueprint, installation instructions, dated March 1968.

And now another one, SN 10513, which looks quite presentable although I fail to understand why the broker doesn't straighten the front bumper.

Do they have some relationship with Gullwing? I see a lot of cars go from Gullwing to Sheehan, and I'm curious if that is just coincidental or what.

 

Several cars that were listed for years at GW have moved over to Sheehan's website. As you know, GW's listings are not necessarily located at their facility...... some are scattered all over the USA. Perhaps greater exposure on the west coast is viewed as an opportunity. It does appear that the market on average vintage stuff is way off at the moment.

 

Expectations are way too high, a lot of owners are crazy and unrealistic and in many cases the car is simply not in good enough condition for the price asked. It's that simple.
