Is it time? I mean...hand on our heart...is it maybe time to give em a call and ask em back to the drawing table, no pun intended...? Irony...that the last car I thought was a beauty is the F12....
Sheez...550 for me. I like the 599gto fxx or whatever for performing but the esthetics leave little to be desired. Seagull winglets" I don't think so...
The future of Ferrari is here, I guess. But I don't have to like it. My passion for Ferrari began to wane after Di Montezemolo left. but I'm sure they don't care what I think. Have to admit that they're incredibly successful as a company, with demand far outstripping supply.
I loved many of the PininFarina designs but I gotta say, Ferrari has done AMAZING... no??? I mean, the Pista, the F8, the 812 are just GORGEOUS and the best looking Ferraris ever in my opinion... and even the SF90 is growing on me too... I don't think Ferrari missed a beat, in fact, they got even better imho.
No matter what they do, they will never be able to duplicate the passion evoked from the 3x8s . the F40, 288 GTO. 355 / 348. Big G
Only the 355 and maybe the 288 in that list were good looking. Rest were trashy awful. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Ferrari is kicking all the old-school collaborators to the curb - I think they dumped Michelotto too, so probably not in the cards any time soon. The Bautista looks good enough, but it's just white noise among electric performance cars (and a potential gremlin timebomb). My dream is that Pininfarina will sign an exclusive with Lexus (or Toyota/Lexus), so they can stop making such ugly cars and in the hope we get an LFA follow-up or at least a good looking Supra
Agreed, their only car they have produced since introducing the new age turbo engines that i would be interested in, is the 812 GTS, not because of the design, but because its a V12 convertable anyone can/could order if you had the funds, and didnt need a whole collection to be hand selected to be allowed to buy one.... other than that, the 448, F8, Cali T, Roma etc, its all not my cup of tea, They dont scream to me, okok, non of these cars scream at all with those vacuum cleaner sounds they make. The LaFerrari is an exception ofcorse, for me the best of the holy trinity! For me they indeed need new designers, but hey they sell record amounts so... but i think thats only to influecers and people who want to be able to brag about it and have the newest stuff, the real enthusiasts aren't as much into the new stuff i believe...
Not at all. I know I’m in the minority but I never liked that car and truly don’t understand why people do. I like the F50 much more than the F40 as for looks… but don’t even really like the F50 that much either. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Your opinion obviously does not count. THE VATICANTS said so. Ferrari has built ugly cars in the past and they will build ugly cars in the future. You need to take the good with the bad.
I've been saying the same thing!! I've never done drugs but I'm really trying to start. It might help everyone else if I do... But every time I ask them for drugs, they never bring me any.... It's very difficult to start doing drugs at my age cos no one believes me that I really want some.
The 550 is the last beautiful Ferrari. Oh, yeah, some more recent ones may look more “dramatic” or have more “presence”, or make a louder “statement” but they aren’t beautiful, in fact many are downright ugly. Fifty years from now the 550 will still be considered beautiful. The others that followed it? Not so much.
If Todd started ripping lines dude I can’t even imagine how many times a day it would be detailed. Because it’s already spotless. We would be blessed with so many reflective, shirtless pics. On the other hand, he may actually say F-it and do an exhaust mod
hahahaha, story checks out... Let's test the theory! But not with coke (I've never even seen that sh*t real life, despite being in entertainment, music and poker for much of my life) My buddy tells me mushrooms would be a good place to start for me... or pills like Percocet or oxiclean or whatever they're called.
Beauty is often in the eye of the beholder.... In all seriousness to me the 296 is stunning, there is so much 250 LM and Dino in the design which I think helps! Likewise the 812 SF. I remember back in 1999 people were shocked by the 360, the same "its ugly" debates were had and yet 20 odd years later the 360 is now seen by many as a great looking Ferrari.
First of all, we must love Ferrari unconditionally. I do and always will. Secondly, we are no longer in the age of the beautiful automobile. We are in the age of the appliance. Cars are big now... REALLY big! And we are so fixated on perfection, emissions and, the elimination of NVH issues we have taken the soul out of the automobile. We are also encountering a big shift in the buyer. A lot of these people that buy Ferraris now are not enthusiasts. How many times do you hear that Ferrari is marketing to people that have never owned one before? It used to be the entry level Ferrari was a used Ferrari. Ferrari now sees that as a loss of revenue. We will never go back to the days of PF. Or any design house for that matter. That is sad for us but... when you consider the modern age we live in where cars in general are ugly and emotionless, the Roma, 296, 812, ect. stand out as something that isn't. The 812 Comp looks fantastic, along with the 296 GTB and the Roma. If they got rid of the cupholders and made the cars 20% smaller, and offered them with a manual I would be very happy. Want the good news? All the cool Ferraris that we ever could want have already been made.
This, simply, does not look like a Ferrari. Period. It looks like it came out of a Marvel comic book. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
