Just joined and saying hi to introduce myself. Childhood dream came true when I purchased my first Ferrari and taken delivery of a 2017 California T with grey alcantara and leather interior. The Ferrari dealer did a two stage paint restoration and the previous owner allowed water stains to accumulate to restore the paint and then I had a bumper to bumper PPF applied. So stoked… Anyway if anyone has some tips love to hear them. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari removes a lot of power from those engines in order to try to make them feel normally aspirated. If it ever starts to feel a bit slow, look up the thread "California T and Portofino:ECU Tunes".
Tips?!? Hmm. Get off F-chat and drive that beauty! [emoji2] My top tip would be to find a nice, uncrowded country road - hopefully with some curves - and slowly familiarize yourself with the power and driving dynamics. As your familiarity and confidence grows, keep the revs up and the wheels down and enjoy your great car. T P.s. We're going to need to see interior pics as well!
The Cali T is widely usable ranging from daily driver to special occasions. Along with being able to use it so frequently, my favorite features are the convertible top, the exterior styling, and the steering. Enjoy the drive. Tips include using the battery tender if the car is not driven every couple of days. Complaints arise (not just for Ferraris) on fancy car electric problems when batteries get depleted on cars that sit a lot and don't have a battery tender running. Also, Ferrari shop mechanics advise raising and lowering the top a few times a week. Lastly, read through threads on this website for other opinions and topics. Keep in mind the various generations of California and Portofino versions, yours is in the '15-'18 set, not all the discussions on Cali or Porto details will apply to your car.
Get a Ferrari new power warranty from the dealer. Inspect under the hood - check for loose hoses/clamps, check the oil level for yourself. Put a piece of cardboard under the cats in the garage. Clear out previous owner nav addresses and contacts from the infotainment system.
Go to Puma website and buy all Ferrari clothing. Only wear Ferrari clothing from now on. Also, only eat pasta. Nice car
great advise thank you…. Yes the car is plugged into a the battery conditioner and good to know about the top usage. Greatly appreciate the guidance.
great kids think alike, car came with some free maintenance and I did buy the two year warranty from the dealer… I have a Autostacker car lift in the garage and did put some material down to catch any misc. fluids. I’ll get to work on the other items. Great feedback cheers.

Your car looks really good. I had sworn off black cars, but every time I see a black Ferrari I’m starting to rethink it.
Because I have a 992 GT3 and I wanted a sexy, classy and elegant GT car. I track my GT3 so the F8’s and 458’s didn’t meet my objectives at the time. I was looking at the 458’s but felt I had missed the bottom of the market. The Portofino M would have been my next choice but it was $100k more and I honestly preferred the shape of the California T. Would love a 812GTS, but probably need to work a little harder to justify to the wife.
Don’t call it a “Rarri” unless you’re rapping about it in a video, and even then it sounds ridiculous.
stole your girl Not sorry Pull of In the Rarri We pick up her friend We ménage Got a GT3 In my garage
Well done finding an HS. I really like the interior. Enjoy in good health, these are great machines! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
First law for new Ferraristi: when the wife sends you to the grocery store with a list, "forget" something. Then you will HAVE to go back to pick it up. Oh dear!
Legend! [emoji2] Also, pick a grocery store that has a less than mundane route there and back. In my case, my favorite place to shop with the Cali is a 40 mile round trip via a few twisty roads T
Black Cali's have to be one of the best looking cars ever made. Congrats! Hopefully I get it's twin soon!
