All Sainz had to do was cover a 5 second delta to get in front of Leclerc on a lap newer tires.

He couldn’t do it. But yea, much better. Maybe Carlos was better when Leclerc unceremoniously kicked him out of q3?

Sainz is mid, and only gets in front when the team ****s Leclerc. Today it was a 9 second pit stop.

 

I'm not one to defend the Ferrari technical department, but the idea that their car is some impossible monster that's the worst in the field is BS.

Today, both Ferrari's could've finished ahead of Russel and Piastri. Bad tire management at the end of their stints, the team refusing to order Leclerc to let Sainz through when the latter had better pace, the malfunction of the air gun (which couldn't be helped), and the inexcusable rookie style speeding in the pitlane cost them two places on the track. No doubt about it.

If this is how the team handles the pressure of 4th-5th place, imagine how bad it would be in a fight for first.

 

Oh, come off it.

Leclerc couldn't get passed Sainz without speeding in the pitlane and costing the whole team. It's called dirty air.

Today should put a rest to all the conspiracies that Sainz has some insider control of the team.

No one said the car is the worst of the field.
They are just good for 6-7 at best.
Which is high midfield to me.
No importance in the end.
Most worrying thing is they don’t know how to improve a car.
A good one ( SF75)
Or a bad one like this year.

 

Maybe they should develop a little further for good measure

 

I agree...too bad they won't have to worry about ever having to fight for first ever again.

 

And that's another thing.

The F1-75 was not some great car. In actuality, it was a car that got lucky a few times Red Bull had issues. Bahrain, Melbourne, Silverstone, and Austria were the only races the car won, and those were all days Red Bull had some kind of issue. When Red Bull sorted their problems out, the true deficit became alarmingly clear.

Car was a very good one.
Not a championship contender but enough quick to score 7 or 8 wins during the season.
Again main problem is their inability to improve during a season.

 

Think about the reputation Mercedes W-13 had.

They got 17 podiums, 24 top 5's, 1 1-2 finish, and almost beat Ferrari to second place in the WCC. This, in a car that was a laughable, bouncing pimp mobile the entire season.

That's because they know how to maximize their packages, work on real race pace, their drivers have excellent race craft, and they have competent (even if not perfect) strategy, with race engineers who know WTF they're doing.

When Ferrari wake up and hire some of the talent at AF Corse and Risi Competizione to be in charge of all race operations, and they poach a few technical minds from Mercedes and Red Bull, they'd turn around overnight.

Vasseur is doing some of the latter, but needs to seriously start lobbying for the former.

 

This guy can't go a day without thinking of Sir Lewis Hamilton. But remember,..... they say I'm the troll. Lol
