Thats assuming he was pushing to the 'Max' but I think he wasnt. Horner knows to show a .7 or 1.0 dominance will bring some unwanted attention from agencies lol
So what's Checo's excuse then? He hasn't been consistent in the RB19 these last 5 races.....let alone win in it CONSISTENTLY.
Checo is #2, and he is not supposed to win constantly ! That's Verstappen's job ! That's the script, the scenario. He is still 2nd in the WDC standing; that's not bad for someone everybody throws stones at !!! Who ever people think should replace Perez wouldn't do better than him.
Exactly. Very quick car in the right hands. It's not as peaky as the 1995 Benetton but it seems getting the tyres into the window time and time again is what's the tricky bit on that car. If Perez was qualifying right behind max constantly and finishing P2 time and time again the ''anyone can win in it'' claim holds a much stronger claim.
Ok now you're sounding desparate and scraping up any excuse. Perez has won with the RB. End of story.
@ktu The notion that "anyone" can drive the RB19 is simply false. The RB19 is tailored to Max's driving style which means it's got more front end loading like the way likes it. Not to many drivers like their F1 cars with front end loading. Senna liked his cars with more front end loading as well.
But he isn't supposed to !! Checo has been recruited by RB as #2, not equal #1. He is doing his job alright.
Many drivers can drive with front end loading. Thats not a unique talent. Nothing new. That's only a fraction of the success anyway, RB is superior technically. Set up Max front end loading in a Alpha Turi he won't win a race.
As I stated earlier, everyone cannot drive a front end loaded car currently on the 2023 grid......as you have stated.
Probably true. But in some circumstances, you don't have to race very hard the car, you can just drive it well and still win.
