I do. He is racing in the sense that he is driving extremely well during the races and staying out of trouble. It also helps to have a great pit crew/team.
@ktu Maybe, just maybe, Max should force a puncture on one of his front tires(based on a 30 to 40 second lead) and win a race with 3 tires. You think he could do it should this hypothetical situation arises?
I agree with you, but for some people here, if you aren't on equal cars and banging wheels every corner, you are not racing !
That describes any driver who takes the lead, creates a gap and then manages his car to the finish. Max doesn't do any different than any other driver with a superior car.
When Mercedes has their dominant car, in any single season, his many times did Bottas qualify outside the top 10? I don't knew the answer, but curious given Perez performance in the dominant RB19 thus far this year.
Question for the mods: if a member were to post that he or she thinks that another member is a d******* but without actually calling the member a d*******, is that a bannable offense? Asking for a friend.
Exactly. Last thing anyone can claim about Max that he's not been out there racing, especially in sub-par cars and worked his way to the top, scoring plenty of podiums and wins along the way until he got himself in a dominant car. Some of us said it years ago...would love to see what he can do in a dominant car. First half season he had a dominant car, records where already shattered. Now it's likely a full season with a dominant one. The guy utter lives and breathes it, practically every single day.
When Sir Lewis Hamilton was winning in a dominant car, it was called cruising around. Now with Max, magically its called racing.
He definitely has a better car, but nothing like the Mercedes was. Lewis and Nico were both dominant in the Mercedes and same with Bottas. Here Perez is no where near Max in the same car.
Loved Max's radio call with about 10 laps to go .... "Hi, just checking in. Is everything ok?" That equals cruising.
Nonsense. When did Mercedes brake a record for consecutive wins, which Perez helped acheive? Look at the growing gap Perez is from 3rd in championship. If a driver of Rosberg caliber was in place of Perez, the constructors championship would have been won years ago. This RB 19 is in another planet.
Or how about the other radio call to go for the fastest lap......the reply was why risk it? ......and his response was that was the founding fathers modus operandi(Max didn't say that but something to that effect).....meaning Didi(Dietrich Mateschitz) was a risk taker.....so they brought Max in and he eventually set the fastest lap. I believe it was Silverstone?
Exactly!! Mercedes, namely Lewis or Rosberg, could have broken Mclarens record (11 consecutive wins) but they didn't. Those drivers had from 2014 thru 2017 enough time that they could have easily broken that record but they didn't.
Because Max is constantly pushing the car and racing it to its full potential. IF Max wins every race from here on out, then it would be the most dominant car in F1 history. Max can win the WDC title in Japan I believe. Max has over 92% of the points accumulated out of a possible 100% points that one can accumulate after 12 races. Max will not stop. He will press onward will extreme prejudice.
