Purchased this Ignition lock a few years ago after my 83 QV key lock cylinder cracked. It wasn't drilled for the warning buzzer switch so I ended up using the lock cylinder on my QV's lock that was drilled and later sourced a NOS Euro cylinder which is in it now. Is this for an earlier 308 or possibly a Euro car, or did all 308's use the warning buzzer? What other Ferrari's will it fit? Looking to sell it not sure what cars it works on. Any help would be appreciated. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

The only help I can offer is that my euro Qv did not come with a buzzer from the factory. US DOT did require a seatbelt buzzer/lamp for the seatbelts as I recall.

It isn't for the seat belt warning, it's for the door open with key in ignition warning. The two systems are separate but share the same buzzer module.

The lock that is shown in the second picture looks the same as the 400i/412i lock that is currently installed in my 328. The 400/412 didn't have a key buzzer.

I was thinking of asking $1600.00US. Looking at what Eurospares and other vendors are asking I thought that was a fair price. It comes with the original Neiman Keys and a Bosch ignition switch. The switch is used but works well, does have a small chip but doesn't effect it. I'll pay for shipping in the US. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

That’s not how it worked on my car. It was seat belt only. It was added during federalization.

That's long been unavailable thru Ferrari.

The steering column lock rod assembly, including the switch, was around $2,400 years ago when a Body Shop snapped a worn key off in my dash.
Early 308GTBs as noted above didn't have any buzzers for seatbelts.

we were lucky to HAVE seat belts!

We had to get mine out and off to a Locksmith, to rekey the lock.

Coming with the two keys this is a nice find!!
So for an early car, pre 1981, I would say.
