A few days ago I couldn't log into FChat. I spent a couple of days going back and forth with Rob and finally got back in today.

It looks like some guy going by Sawarndra Brooks was trying to sell some signs under my account. I contacted everyone who was talking with this character and told them to run. Unfortunately, one member may have Zelled $1000 to this guy.

Well, I was wondering why someone would hack an FChat account. Now, I know why. I got my account back and this guy is out. Be careful guys.

So how do we know you’re not the scammer?

Hope nobody lost anything for it, but sending a zelle to a guy on a forum is just stupid. Wonder if the CC company would assist in those cases

Agreed. Zelle is not a credit card, it’s an instant bank transfer, therefore once the money is gone, it’s gone…

I'm sorry this happened, but it blows my mind how people still use Zelle or Cashapp for online purchases, there is literally NO protection for buyer or seller. See it all the time on Facebook marketplace also, people are surprised when they lose their money. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever for that. Offer to pay the Paypal fee is necessary, if the seller refuses to accept it, it's almost always a scam. Run.

It took a few days because he didn't have access to his old email, but I verified him.

I was a few mins late in alerting the buyers...

They jumped all over "low prices", but the moment I saw the ads listed and what they were, it's quite obvious...unfortunately.

I almost sent somebody I thought was a legit and respected FChat member over a thousand dollars a few months ago. The only reason I didn’t was the scammer insisted on a specific payment method that I don’t use. After a few back-and-forths about payment it felt funny because it was out of character for the member I thought I was dealing with, so I dropped it.

Need to replace the battery in your sarcasm meter…..

But I wouldn’t put it past a scammer to try to scam others by saying “everything is OK now, you can buy my stuff safely now”

Reason why my asking prices are high on Fchat. At least you know it’s me .
