This is an interesting new product that replaces the WUR on many of our cars Its made by this company = https://unwiredtools.com/utcis-v.asp and price is about 550 $
It is quite an old item, but to be honest it does look odd in the engine bay, and does not make a dramatic change to the system. It's a bit like upgrading from k-jet to KE-jet, with custom curves (on a proprietary, oldish software) Buktus was offering a much more radical upgrade : a megasquirt compatible WUR (with all the MS "autolearn" features) ; and if you fancy originality (as I do) Brian Leask can upgrade your regular WUR for ultimate tunability (set screws for cold/hot pressure adjustment, WOT enrichment). That's basically a k-jet that can be tuned like a carburetor.
Is there someone who did put it on his Ferrari ? Want to know what durability this has. And looking odd...yes, but there are more OEM things looking odd on our cars
Never considered warm up regulators to be a problem. They have been extremely reliable. But now I know for $550 I can fix something I never considered problematic.
It's a WUR with a built-in frequency valve. I assume this was initially meant to deal with the clumsy "WUR with lambda" cars: no more frequency valve that hangs in the engine bay, and no more jetronic box (it also has built-in electronics).
It may or may not have advantages but he is trying to sell it based on a lie. CIS has definite disadvantages, as I see it the warm up regulator is not one. If he wants to improve the system get rid of the air flow meter. It is at the root of the systems problems. At that point, just take it all off and go electronic, I can support that if your desire is to make a vintage Ferrari something it never was.
