It's just their turn. Mercedes had theirs, McLaren had theirs, Ferrari had theirs. It's a regular cycle in this sport.

These guys are all relented , max has made it obvious he is more talented than Checco . Having said that , he isn’t 1s a lap faster than Checco talent wise , it has been show during qualifying last year . This year is a different story , Checco lousy qualifying stint isn’t because of lack of talent , a little bit of bad kick but mostly his head is not in a good space . There have been plenty of races in F1 when the winner destroyed the field , usually against other teams . When your teammate in a similar car regularly crushes you , whatever delusions you had that you were going to take the fight to him are out the door . Deep down , he knows he doesn’t cut it but his ego won’t let him accept it . Sometimes , your best isn’t good enoug

This guy is at least 1second/lap faster compared with Checo because we are comparing right now one of all time best ( perhaps the best) with a random driver in Formula One history.
In 2019 I didn’t understand why Gasly, a very good driver, was annihilated in such way by Verstappen.
Now I fully get it..

 

That entire race took only 1:22! One would think they should add more laps, but I wonder how they'd run on fuel.

IT did look like CL was closing in on Perez at a decent clip. Then I hear him say he was conserving fuel. Would have been nice to see a fight for P2
