based on the SF90XX and considering that the little sister shouldn't bother the older one it's actually very easy: about +15hp and -5kg at best, with at least +150K XD

I agree with your thoughts with the exception of the description " uncivilized", which represents an exaggeration. The Pista is definitely more immersive and compelling than the 296, F8 and certinly the 458. Uncivilized is the 765, STO.

The real question here is: which is the relationship between 296 VS and Montecarlo?
Montecalro is said to have V12, which make it comaprable to F167.
Will ti be the new F167? It seems weird Ferrari is only "evaluating" to introduce it.
Will it be Roma successor with V12? Or the V12 Icona? The name is following same historical glamour location after prtofino and Roma...

My take is that there is no relationship between 296VS and Montecarlo, and that the Montecarlo may not be the F167 either (assuming the F167 is the 812 replacement) - this Montecarlo could be a successor to the 612 / Lusso (but maybe with 4 doors), i.e. a more traditional GT because the Purosangue, although called the FUV, is still perceived as a kind of SUV.

Makes completely sense, shift normal range on more sport and extreme trend like Porsche and revive new luxury GT branch, following 612/ GTC4 Lusso legacy and leaving Purosangue on its own direction.

    So, in the end:
    - Sport V8 / V6 (SF90 successor, 296)
    - Hyper V6 - F250
    - Icona models
    - GT high performance V12 -F167
    - GT elegance luxury- Roma-Montecarlo, etc..

Two V12 front engine rear wheel GT’s is a bit too similar. Let’s say it’ll be a V12 roma-ish, while the Roma is more comfortable than the 812, it’s only by a small margin and the 812 is comfortable in it’s own right. They’d have to make it into Bentley GT levels of comfort to actually make a substantial difference, and/or make it a 4 door which at this point you’d just get a Purosangue. Let’s not forget that the F167 will probably get the Puro’s suspension which supposedly has a larger comfort/sportiness difference between its modes. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Now a rear-mid engine normal production V12, THAT’S what the lineup is really missing. An SP3 “lite”.

I agree a rear V12 normal produciton is missing, but they seem to keep rear V12 for the next icona, together with latest and most powerful V8 turbo,
The Montecarlo model is clealry defined as grandiose tourer all comfort and luxury, which sems to hint no rear V12 will be fitted in

This is a fantastic idea and I would love to see it come true. Only problem is at the end of the paragraph it states they are working on a spider version. That leads me to believe they are referencing F167 after all or as stated above a version of the Roma with a V12. Later in the newsletter outside of the snippet I included it stated that Ferrari has trademarked: Milano and Milano Spider.

If this is a legitimate newsletter from your dealership... I presume they aren't a Ferrari dealership by now!

putting a V12 engine at the back of a normal production car, as mentioned on otehr threads, seems to be very complicated (expensive) hence why Ferrari won't do it for a normal production car.
I would also chance rtthe shape of the car too much aka too much Lamborghini like and hence why they won't do it.

Also, I have faith in the development team from Ferrari that they know what actually drives/performes better. A mid engine V8TT / V6TT versus a NA V12.

FWIW, I got some information that the 812 replacement will be a non hybrid NA V12. Can't say much more. We'll see I guess.

Can't believe that is a genuine dealer newsletter (only my opinion so who knows) but seems to have taken this thread off on a tangent.
Meanwhile back to 296 VS !!!

Seems the economy and interest rates are causing the dealer lists to shed buyers at a significant rate. Looks like I will get a GTB allocation and then hopefully a VS.

I was informed that having other limited V8's in my collection, doesn't qualify one for the VS. You need to have an actual GTB or GTS.

this is what I was told as well. If you hope to secure a 296 VS you must have a 296 in your garage. You can't hold for 6 months, sell and then wait until the VS arrives.

We’ll see how long that stance is enacted. Just like gaining access to the Purosangue was initially tightly controlled, ultimately the gates were thrown open to “regular” customers. Granted, the VS will be a limited production vehicle. If the run does not sell out immediately then the access criteria will change.

Our 296 GTS is arriving in less than 60 days.

We hope to secure a 296 Spider (Aperta?) VS. In the past one would hold a car for 180 days. Our previous dealer would 'remind' us when the 180-day time frame had arrived. We were 'encouraged' to pre-sell the car with the dealer for an allocation of whatever was next oftentimes well ahead of when the next car was going to arrive.

Now it's changed. Assuming what I was told is accurate you will need to keep the car past 180 days......until your VS arrives and then trade it back into the dealer.

More or less the same as with the SF90. Having owned one wasn't enough; you had to keep it until the XX was revealed and appointed to you.

The regular 296 is already faster than the GT3 RS on track, and the Artura IS NOT the direct competitor of the 296 (both have a hybrid V6, but the Artura is clearly positioned below the 296, with lower power and price - a Chevrolet Malibu is not the direct competitor of a BMW 520i, in spite of both having a petrol 4-cylinder engine...) - so this article does not seem to be particularly well informed.
