Has anyone got rid of brakes squeel by re-bedding ceramic brakes by braking on a clear highway from 100-40 mph w/o engaging ABS? How successful was it? What is your preferred procedure?

Bedding is a rehearsed process that involves multiple heat cycles when the pads are fresh. If they're already squeaking and used there is no going back (IIRC...)

Convert to steel rotors (we used them on our multiple championship winning 360GT) and enjoy your car a lot more. Or just brake later and harder to keep heat in the system.

I have done this with some success. Remembered this thread and wanted to chime in. My 08 F430 was very squealy when I first got it. I'm not the first owner and I assumed the previous owner babied it a bit too much or never bedded them in properly. The squeal was very apparent coming to a stop. On a recent road trip where I had miles and miles of empty straight roadway, I was able to do the bed in procedure. It has made a dramatic difference. That's not to say the squeal doesn't turn up every now and then when coming to a slow stop, but it's nothing like it use to be.
