You've had nearly 2 years of crying about this and making your statements. You've had your say, so have had those that agree or don't agree. Do everyone a favour and stop polluting yet another thread with this. If you really want to talk about it yet again, create a thread about it.
You accuse my reading skills but now you didn't comprehend that I didn't bring up 2021. Other posters commented on it before I did. I just responded. But you single me out as polluting the thread, even though I didn't introduce it and you didn't attack others who started it. I'll talk about it for how ever long I want to. Others do so stop singling me out like you're a topic police. You don't run anything.
And I quote: "He was robbed" (you're bringing up Lewis Hamilton was "robbed" of an 8th WDC title in 2021 at Abu Dhabi) "You don't change the rules at the last minute of the biggest race of the year." (Again, you're blaming Masi for changing the rules of the race at Abu Dhabi 2021).
I was responding to something. How can I be the first to talk about something if I'm responding to it?
@ktu One more thing. Every time you cry about Masi, Abu Dhabi 2021 and Lewis being robbed in 2021, I will retort with Massa being robbed of his 2008 WDC title ever since Ecclestone(to include Mosley) should have cancelled the Singapore2008 race due to crashgate after Ecclestones interview in 2023 regarding such matter. You honestly believe Max has officially 1 WDC since 2021 was "given" to him. Okay, then Lewis has 6 WDC titles because 2008 was given to him as well. This game that we are playing is for "the birds."
Again, I was responding to something. How can I be the first to talk about something if I'm responding to it?
Well don't say in your post that " I didn't bring up 2021" when in fact you really did when you responded to @Bas.
Ok I'll try it again. I was responding to a post about 2021. How can I be the first to talk about 2021 if I'm responding to it?
@ktu You and @Mosin are notorious for bringing up 2021 at Abu Dhabi and all of the "mumbo-jumbo" attached to it. I know @Terra loves Hamilton as well but at least he's reserved at showing it unlike you and Mosin. By the same token, @furoni HATES Alonso and he takes a jab at Alonso every now and then but he doesn't defend any of the FChatters that praise Alonso as to why he hates him. This non-stop of Lewis Hamilton being robbed in 2021 or Max being helped by Masi in 2021 is really getting old.
I was the one who stated he was robbed in 21, not complaining about the fact, but because I see it as having really hit him hard mentally in a way that he's only now recovering from. And those who immediately jumped on the 'Silverstoned' wagon are showing how childish both sides are. Neither is my favorite driver, and unlike other WDC's who I see as having a long list of unsporting and dangerous incidents detracting from their legacy, neither of them are on my **** list either. They are both amazing drivers, two of the best the world has ever seen. They've come together several, (many?, I'm sure someone will jump in with a blame apportioned list soon) times. Sometimes one side is more or less 'at fault' than the other. Honestly I think that's racing at this level, and generally it averages out over the years. Why can't we celebrate that we've got three outstanding drivers (not a fan, but Alonso has to be in this) out of 20 already all outstanding drivers on the grid. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, right now Max IS the best driver out there. Success breeds success and he's riding high. That acts as a feedback loop. I do not believe Max was the best driver 4-5 years ago. He was too impatient, made too many low percentage attempts that resulted in one or both cars going off and wouldn't admit his mistakes. He's grown, he's learnt, and he's at the top of his game. To try and say he's better over the sum of his career vs the sum of Lewis's is pointless. They are both absolute greats.
This guy lives and breathes racing. EXCLUSIEF: Max Verstappen bezig met het opzetten van zijn eigen raceteam - Formule1.nl He already owns a 296 GT3 (and 4 road going Ferrari's) and a 911 GT3 R.
I don't think I will start a controversy if I state that Max is the best driver on the grid right now. I will say that Hamilton has shown how good he is by consistently getting the most out of his car and placing higher than his teammate. I certainly rate him in the top five of the current grid but Max has found a new and higher level.
F1 has always been inconsistent with rulings, decisions, etc. That was another example of it. He wasn't robbed. Bottom line is this, he pits, he wins. He didn't so they lost. Period. Edit: How fair was it at imola that lewis made a mistake and went a lap down and should have never scored points? But because of red flag, he magically gets his lap back? He ends up on the podium on a day he should have scored 0.
That's your go to when people actually make sense in a debate with you, "well he's won more" blah blah blah.
Allow me to educate you on the red flag rules. https://racingnews365.com/why-hamilton-was-able-to-unlap-himself-under-imola-red-flag This wasn't a random decision to unlap him for entertainment purposes. It was within the rules. It wasn't entertainment or Netflix driven. Saflety car rules are not "always inconsistent" as you put it. The safety cars rules have been consisitent over the years. So yeah he was robbed. Sir Lewis Hamilton raced better all race. Max made pitstops all race. Why are we not seeing that safety car inconsisitency this year since you say it "always happens"?
By the way, did you noticed Alonso talking trash about Otmar, lolo, he sure doesn't miss an oportunity to badmouth his old friends....Mike Crack, be warned!!!
Max is the 2021 WDC. The FIA admitted that Masi made a mistake in that final race, which allowed Max to overtake Lewis. It's ancient history. Which doesn't change the fact that Max is the 2021 WDC.
Not correct. If he pits VER doesn't. VER leads the race and the race finishes under the safety car (assuming Massi applies the rules correctly). MER would have had to anticipate Massi's decisions (absent the actual rules) to win, whereas RB just had to gamble and pressure Massi, which they did successfully.
