Is it ok to attend the Cavalino Claasic if you don't own a Ferrari?

I was looking at going in 2024 for the first time, but for admission to a grass field of cars and an event program I don't feel like getting bent over that far.

Agreed. I know the cost of everything goes up and all, but I recall going to Cavallino back in 2003 for $50, what's that maybe $100 in today's dollars?

If I was still local, I'd consider going; the event does attract some stellar cars, it is after all one of the premier annual Ferrari events, and it's not like I'd be doing it every month. But still. Pretty sure I'm not the target audience the event planners have in mind, lol.

Not many other places you can see that many 8-digit Ferraris in one place. For some Cars & Coffee is good enough.

I understand that. And also with it being the biggest Ferrari show in the country. That is what made me want to fly five hours and possibly make it an annual trip.

I'm not against paying for anything. You can charge over all the VIP purchasers as far as you want with the special treatment. I've taken it where it made sense.

I'm just not paying almost $500 to look at the cars and nothing else. I've been a follower of Ferrari...not even cars generally, just Ferrari's. For almost 20 years.

There is no proper reasoning for that GA ticket pricing. I wonder how many demographics are represented at Cavallino. I'd bet, one.

yes there is, it is called a free market and they’re beyond capacity at $500. It is way too crowded. I think $1,000 might be closer to market pricing and reasonable crowds. Look at F1 tickets now.

Seems everything is an auction lately. Hotels, Airfare, tickets to shows, We have a viral stock market mentality now.

At this rate Cavalino Classic will be selling tickets via Ticketmaster next year & bid to $10,000 that way its influencers only and they stand on the roof of cars!

One good time about getting old is no one can take your memories from you. I don't need to recreate any new ones.

the orderly overheard the men at the nursing home yelling "36 and then a bunch of laughter"... "16 and a bunch of laughter"... "83 and a bunch of groans and laughter". the orderly interrupted the men "what in the heck are you guys doing?"... the men responded "well, we're so old we tell the same stories over and over, so now we just assigned numbers to each story and just say the number".

If no one goes it was too expensive. If there is a crowd, it was not.

I will say over $700 for a dinner ticket for a $50 meal is stretching it. Last I went 2 years ago attendance to that was down considerably.

Pebble Beach is currently $575 for the general admission tickets, and for me a more justifiable expense. Still overpriced, but that's the world we live in.

In my opinion all things Canossa are vastly overpriced in terms of value. The tour associated with the Chattanooga automobile event is $5,900 for a two day (sort of) one night drive. Oh, yeah, there are a couple of discount coupons for hotels, etc., but still that’s pretty steep. It’ll probably sell out simply because there will be enough people willing to pay that. I’d be a participant for half of that, or maybe even pay full fare for a 3 day/2 night tour, but otherwise, no. I think the Taylors’ tours are much better value and virtually flawless in execution, as are the tours organized for Goodwood Road Racing Club members. They’re more about the drive and less about the “experience ” where the cars seem to be just fashion accessories.

Their events are simply out of my price range. A few Ferrari buddies and I go to the Ozarks every Fall and I guarantee we have better roads, more relaxed, and less expensive than any other rally out there. I do feel there is a needed cost hierarchy and they just happen to be at the top, filling up their spots. Nothing to critique except "not for me".
