Yes, it lived for many years laid up in Marne Street, South Yarra. Was sold from the Estate in around 2005

 

Very valuable car when restored ,not many left as roasters in 4.2 form and delivered new here .

 

It was scruffy when I saw it, however it was far from needing anything major beyond recommissioning. I recall it had a few bubbles on the lower edge of both doors, apart from that it was sound. The owner showed me the original books, I think it was a Bryson delivery. And oddly, originally red.

Can’t get excited about any SUV, I’m afraid.

Need to carry something? Plenty of superb wagons (estates, if you like) that are way better in every respect than any SUV.

And these are at the top of the tree, for mine. Probably cheaper than a SUV HOS too.

I'm tossing on whether or not to order an Audi RS4, as I do like the style and that glorious 2.9 l twin-turbo V6

It's Audi RS6 Avant, and then fresh air. No-one would talk to you if you bought a BMW.

 

It's an Alpina, not a BMW, and it would eat anything else for breakfast in the all-round performance / comfort equation.

Not an Audi fan (although the RS6 is the best of them), and I've driven most of them.
Heavy, under-steery, quick in a straight line but ordinary around corners IMO.
Nice interiors though.
