430 F430 Diffuser and Engine Bay Panel Spray Paint

Caveat: if you have black trim. Grigio Silverstone has black and presumably Nero, but most have metallic grey.

 

I had some paint mixed to code 236430, chomo grigio corsa met, but it is just not right. Too silvery. . This was a code from a thread on here. Awaiting info from factory.

There's a problem at the moment, Mike. I had the same experience and didn't get to the bottom of it. Previously the paint had been a perfect match out of the tin. I ended up mixing my own Grigio Corsa using a blend of Vauxhall greys.

It's possible that there has been a rationalisation of the paints because some shades of Rosso Corsa have disappeared from the PPG range. Very strange.

 

I think the parts list has 2 colour options

 

You assume that the paint mixing machine is calibrated ok. Taking ages to get the details from the factory

 

You can have a regular body shop just mix up touch up matched to the panel and some matte clear. Before I switched to Carbon Fiber engine panels I had one of my panels repainted because it bubbled from the heat. They gave me some extra touch up at the same time.

I just got the info from the factory, if you have the silver version it is paint code 236430. Croma grigio corsa

 

Thanks Mike, that's the one. A recent job with that paint was too silver. Didn't get to the bottom of it after multiple attempts at new mixes. Previous orders were spot-on.
