    Self-incriminating evidence.
I don't understand why people video themselves breaking the law, and them put it on social media.

120 in a 90 zone? jeez most of us do that on a daily basis. Just bloody get over it. I understand the situation if he was doing 180 in a 90 zone.

    agree. What an over-reaction.

Has the prosecuter or whatever he is ever driven for a single moment on a french motorway? 120 in a 90 is standard practice. I've come across Gendarmes at a similar rate plenty of times and they either don't care or give you a quick flash to slow down.

Must be a very slow news day in France.

There is no point imposing a speed limit if you don't enforce it, I would have thought.
Most cars have a speed limiter, to avoid a slip up.

IMO to come out and say dramatic words like ''prosecution'' is just stupid. Send him the fine, which he'll get and pay....

He'll have a Monegasque drivers license which the French can't take away. At worst they'll tell him he's not allowed to drive on their roads for a while, but with a mere 30km/h overspeed they can't do that even

Yes and no. Not in this case, of course, but for extreme excessive speeds, the French police has the power to take away the driving license and impound the vehicle. That happened to some Gumball Rally participants coming from Spain once who were caught above 200kph.
They thought being foreigners they would get away with racing on the motorway. Accompanied by a police notice, their driving licences were then sent to the appropriate embassy. In the EU, some countries deal with the driving offenses of their national abroad, and can share their database.
Also, if stopped after being speeding, the fine is literally extortionate for foreigners, and must be paid in cash ! So beware !!

Him recording himself exceeding the limit and posting it still isn’t as dumb as the pearl clutching in response to 120 in a 90. Fine him like anyone else and move on.

    Americanized, it's 75 in a 55 mph

in Florida if you aren't doing 20 over you're a road hazard.

There's also in most cases, a speed to overtake. You can be overtaking cars in a 90 km/h zone while doing 90 km/h. While i agree that that speed limits must be enforced, enforcing it correctly is a different thing altogether.

To drill down further, the better analysis is, if Max was overtaking or, was he consistently doing 120 in a 90 zone.
