No, genuine, even if it had a complicated life. Of course the best is 0870 but for now it is sequestered by court order.
I was working for the owner of #0872 in 1984 when the restoration began. The original fiberglass body was in very poor condition so it’s was repaired and a complete set of body molds were made by a reputable fiberglass company. They were substantial and capable of producing many new body panels so the comments here about additional cars existing don’t seem far fetched.
I was lucky enough to race the real Breadvan at Le Mans Classic 2008 (very respectfully) and likewise to test the real GTO 64 #5575GT in Arizona last November for Octane magazine, no copies in either case
