Eric produced a second concept as well:
"Vehicle concepts for the Tech Savvy Early Adopter, a technology enthusiast who embraces the latest gadgets and enjoys solo driving experiences. A futuristic and high-tech appearance with integrated sensors and camera arrays, enabling advanced autonomous driving capabilities in augmented reality.

Continuing my study on generating AI vehicle concepts based on customer personas. AI has leveled the playing field for sketch technique. Designers must focus now more than ever on answering the question:

Who are we designing for and why?"

Some cool stuff in there! Okay, so now maybe submit same brief/job ticket to 5-10 different AI's - and then the resulting output of those AI's - to a single arbiter AI - for an AI committee take? Will, at some point, AI evolve to resent focus groups ...?

And have to figure, at least at this point, AI can't take stuff home to run it by the wife and kids?!

Or does the Tech Savy Early Adopter want a vehicle where all that matters is it is autonomous with the entire interior as a video screen so they can do video games and chat with the real world never intruding?

It seems like the styling rotunda would have been nice to preserve for historical significance. Shame they knocked that bit down, I'm sure they could have built fantastic new facilities all around it.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

One might ponder why they need so much extra room to design some SUVs and a couple of trucks.

So lets go Old School. Believe it or not going to Design School in the late 70's I had a chance to meet Gordon Buehrig who gave a guest lecture on how he worked at Duesenberg and Cord. He taught at Art Center in Pasadena a number of years into the 70's.

What was interesting is that all his drawings he brought in were in plain view, none in 3/4 and all in ink. That's how they did things then. Today computers do so much of the work. That's good as it gives flexibility to the design but there is something lost also as the computer does so much work. Some artistry is missing.

I'm an old magic marker guy.

    I'm a dinosaur.

The Italians well into the '60's-'70's used to design in side view, plan view and front/rear elevation. Used to amaze me how they were able to do the landmark cars that they did. Guys like Buehrig were trained that way from the very beginning of the profession of a 'car designer'. How things have changed in 100 yrs!
