I never said my car is a gem, I said it was driver grade. I don't play coy games and never have. A lot of people on here have become friends of mine so i have never classed them as stupid. Here are the pictures of the rockers that you have requested. The car is in fair condition , paint needs a color sand as it has fish eyes probably from previous poor prep. I don't know who built the original engine and quite frankly i didn't really care when i purchased it as i got the car for a fair price and my only goal with the car was cruise it around with my kids. 4 speed transmission could probably do with a rebuild in the future. I may even have a spare transmission i can throw in the deal if i get a half decent number for the car. Honestly i think there are better examples out there you should pursue.

I believe you noted 4 speed. Is it a split case or tunnel case? Also, is the rear 750 or 101?
    Thanks for the info.

It has been about 30 years since I saw the two side by side and all I can remember is the 750 diff, like everything else on a 750 series car is about 15% smaller. Trans should be easy to see the style.

Jesus dude... Sometimes people pick air filters because they like the way they look.

Saying a car is *********** because of two air filters that you don't like... that can be swapped inminutes... is completely over the top.

    That's really really unbecoming behavior.

Excuse me…. learn to read and stop with the false accusations.

Here is what I said, repeated here for your easy reading and further practice:

“Frankly, with your chicken wire air filters the car ‘looks’ really sub-par. Lots of other choices out there - like a clean, OEM gtv airbox. Chicken wire screams ‘hack’ and NOT $65k.”

I never passed judgement on his car.

    Get real.

It is your illiterate, false accusations that are ”unbecoming”.

Your poor reading skills and admiration of chicken wire in lieu of an OEM filter or an effective aftermarket alternative says it all.

You need to get real by knocking off the rude, aggressive and demeaning behavior. Somebody who has been here 20 years should know better.

You are now asking or expecting the be taken literal when you obviously know your post can easily be interpreted by most anyone as being full of nasty innuendo. Maybe not your intention, but calling into questions someone’s reading comprehension skills is a bit over the top when your own words left open so much for interpretation.

    John,
“..full of nasty innuendo…”? Your ‘interpretation’ is your issue, not mine. My words are specific, clear and concise.

    Duane,
You call me “rude, aggressive and demeaning”…. I’d suggest that you look in the mirror. You are the one slinging personal insults.

Grade school behavior. Both of you. Justin as well.

Vincenzo, Besides your sinister and offensive comments...o_O

If you knew Alfa, you would know that a GTV air filter canister would never fit in the bay, without having
a good squish to almost pancake dimensions. Instead, it would wear a Giulietta Veloce airbox FYI.

You could also have observed about the Spanish Webers (nothing wrong with them),
but you don't know about that either...
Learn Alfa before all else. I would not sell you this car if you begged, and just on principle.

How about a general 'asking for forgiveness to the thread owner' after your 'vacation' ?

    Regards, Alberto

PS. Craig, you are a gentleman, and an example of politeness.

You are welcome! Just what I like...:)

    Regards, Alberto

PS. I have a squished GTV air filter that fell off an AR, while racing,
he almost killed me, as I found it the middle of a blind turn
