    Hi,

In 4Mo ownership on my 93 T Cab, after a big and expensive service, I m pleased with all usual Mondial gremlins: rear window, strange electrical paranormal events, and now a water/ antifreeze leak.

The car (30.000Km) just undergo a major service but the water pump which was deemed as still in very good conditions.

After driving ca 500Km I have noticed a sudden increase in the motor temperature while “idling” or driving in the city (up to 100/105C!!!) coupled with some water leak when stationary.

A Ferrari mechanical advise it might be time to change the water hoses 139468…

As they are quite expensive in Germany (ca 350 for 2X after custom duties), is there any better and cheaper solution around?

I have just spend over 10.000€ in a major service…

    thanks in advance!

Superperformance in uk showing in stock @£60 . Also look for local company making them as only a curved hose, measure the inside size.

When I need to replace those, I take them down to a local automotive supply store and go through their hose supply (hanging on a wall) and find a hose that has a section that look like that right angle hose and cut it out. It's never more than $20US. No shipping, no import duties.

That hose where the Mondial T is really really should have been changed while the $10,000 engine out was done.

I agree…same holds true for the window. In latter case, it just happened right after, but the preventive maintenance on the hoses / Water pump could have been done.

    Hello Alec
My thought is that coolant hoses during the expensive engine service were reconnected incorrectly, that perhaps two hoses were reconnected backwards.
This happened with a major service of my Mondial t- before bought it. I was running hot on occasion. My mechanic discovered mistake and corrected their placement. My Mondial t has run cool ever since, even in the hottest summer heat.
Perhaps your least expensive measure at this point is to have an independent mechanic trace all coolant hoses for correct placement before doing any more work on your coolant system.

Sounds like you're cooling fans may not be coming on when you're stuck in traffic.

    Hi Alec

May I ask if you went to the Ferrari dealer? If so bring it back and they should fix it for free! Either way it is their fault. Meaning not connected properly or the hose was bad and needed to be replaced like wingnut already mentioned.

350 euro is outrages. that is not the Ferrari price for a dealership for this all-round 90 degree tube

This is the real Ferrari price.. When I would order this in NL I would pay this (add VAT to it and it will be 120 euro):

alecxx - have you measured the ID of the hose and tried to match that to a Gates hose, then trim the length to suit? Below is a link to an alternative to the Ferrari upper radiator hose for a Mondial QV - I purchased one from Rock Auto for $9, trimmed the legs as needed and it works perfectly and looks stock:

I know you are not looking for an upper radiator hose but this should help you find something less expensive

Thanks everybody, I have ordered from. Super performance Uk; 156GBP+ 56€ custom duties…crazy!

I hope this will solve the leak and related over temp while “idling”.

So far my Ferrari experience haven’t been that great.
