No disrespect but pretty horrible spec. A car with similar interior in the UK just sold around £970k ( $1.23m) which indicates prices firming up in the UK ( and that’s a Hong Kong supplied car which would be less desirable than a UK supplied car) https://www.autostoresales.co.uk/bianco-ferrari-f12-tdf
Just ran across this new listing, of note. Merit Partners is pleased to present this newly acquired 2017 Ferrari F12 TDF for sale. This stunning, one owner example is finished in Grigio Coburn. This TDF was the first Ferrari to ever have this paint color applied to metal and was conceived at the Tailor Made Design Studio. The entire car is wrapped in PPF protecting the exquisite paint from rock chips or any road debris. Clearplex has also been installed on the windshield expanding the protection. This phenomenal example is one of the most unique specifications of any of the 799 F12 TDF's with over $100k in additional Tailor Made options. The multi-layer Grigio Coburn paint is a $37,000 option. The livery design is also unique to this car using a Tailor Made multi-layer paint called Pure Metal Silver, an additional $15,000 option. There were only around 150 Tailor Made Ferrari models produced in 2017 making a Tailor Made TDF even more exclusive. This TDF was featured in the Official Ferrari Magazine #43. The interior design of this car is also completely bespoke incorporating a one of a kind seat design. The seats are dressed in Poltrona Frau Furniture Leather with Pewter and slate accented leather. This example is one of the highest optioned TDF's with every carbon fiber option checked, including the following rare options: Carbon fiber floor plates (instead of Aluminum) Carbon fiber headlight buckets Carbon fiber rear parcel shelf Complete engine bay in carbon fiber Tailor Made carbon fiber door sills Carbon fiber external door handles The only TDF to have factory approved and produced carbon fiber shields (an additional $8,000 option) One of few TDF's to have the Brushed Titanium fuel door (an additional $7,500 option) Tailor Made complete luggage set matching the interior design and leather Center tunnel and rear parcel deck finished in historic diamond stitch quilting Interior badges, air vents and center shift trim done in matte-finish Grigio Coburn Exterior horses on front and rear bumper, shields and wheel center caps done in a satin finish Rear deck lid script done in Matte Pure SilverSome other factory options include: APPLE CARPLAY AFS SYSTEM REAR SHELF LEATHER BAGS TROLLEYS+SOFT BAG LEATHER SET ALUMINUM BRAKE CALIPERS CARBON FIBRE FILTER BOX COVER CARBON FIBRE FOG LAMP ENGINE COVERS IN CARBON FIBRE CARBON FIBER HEADLIGHT BUCKET CARBON FIBRE UNDERDOOR COVER CARBON FIBRE FLOOR PLATES CARBON FIBRE REAR SHELF CARBON FIBRE REAR BENCH TRIM LEATHER LOWER TUNNEL $146,492 ADDITIONAL OPTIONS Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow!! Ian Coburn’s tdf!! That is one if the greatest ever made there was a thread specific on that car when it launched. I am very surprised that such a passionate collector would sell such a unique and special Tdf
I’ve noticed quite a few tdf sold recently in the US and at an all time high prices! In excess of 1.6m usd + tax for cars with some mileage. It seems prices are again on the rise
Yes, I know of 5 sold in US last 2 mos. Interestingly, recently received 2 calls from FCA members asking if I'd sell. Answer: No.
wow 5 sold in 2 months seems like a good liquid market at whatever prices are occurring. Do you or others know the final sales prices? Hard to tell based on the wider listing range now. Thanks.
Do you know why there’s a sudden rise in interest ( and prices) on the tdf ? The economic outlook isn’t the best and yet sales seem strong and at all time high prices
Just a guess but folks with investable money may feel that popular, limited edition models like the tdf may be a relatively safe place to stash money. Several other asset classes, e.g. equities and commercial real estate in many cities, seems shaky.
I remember after the 2008 financial crisis there was a huge flight to scarce tangible assets and collectible went through the roof. This time we are still in a high rates / tight liquidity environment and such cars are starting to rise once more. Main difference with 2008? Inflation is high and here to stay. I can’t imagine the price dynamics when the Fed and other Central Banks have to ease monetary policy once more to avoid economic collapse…
I know that Merit Partners had a Tailor Made Silver car ( that used to belong to Ian Coburn, an Fchat member and a car well known in the forum, there was even a thread on this car) that they advertised at $1.69m ( before tax) with some mileage and sold pretty quickly
Maybe a controversial view, but as time goes by I think there is realization that Pista's and SF90's aren't collectible near to the level a TdF is. Look at how many cars and models Ferrari are making. Which ones are truly truly special and will be "collectible" in 20 years. I think very view top tier with LaFerrari, TdF, Competizione, Iconas?
I completely agree with that the tdf in my opinion is one of ( if not the) most special front engine v12 ever made or at least of the last 20 years. And my my view marks the end kf the era of collectibility of special / limited ferraris. On top of that I think it is the most beautiful and outrageous / special V12 of the modern era and one of the best v12 ferraris ever made. My own view. The Comp doesn’t feel that special, is less rare and beautiful, less aggressive and sells now for in excess of $2m. Maybe people realise that gap isn’t justified
Yes it’s absolutely beautiful and a watershed moment.. for me the works of art Ferraris are 275 GTB, 250 GTO, F12 TDF & F12 in that order.. market/numbers dictates values but not sure F12 TDF is worth 5 times an F12, but wouldn’t be surprised to see F12 TDF at $2M either, it is gorgeous. Think F12 TDF F12 prices will also be helped by no convertible/gts versions unlike 812 & 812 Comp. Damn that Ian Coburn car is perfection to me…
100% agree with the order ( i would add the 250 swb next to the 250gto personally). Yes the Ian Coburn tdf is one of the best tdf in existence i am surprised that he sold this car such a special car. And yes agreed as well the tdf will in my view be $2m by next year
A nice pair… I have refused $2M for mine several times. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic shot and pair!! I’m not surprised about the offers for your car it’s a truly special ( and unique / tastefully spec’d) example
https://bernardsexclusives.nl/ferrari-f12tdf-6-2-v12-blu-tour-de-france/ Interesting that dealer ( reputable in the Netherlands) has just raised the asking price from 1.4m eur to 1.7m eur - for a tdf with 6500 km. in comparison he is asking 1.9m eur for a delivery mileage 812C. Taking into account mileage premium that seems to indicate that tdf prices are converging to 812C prices and approaching the $2m mark That also implies that a special / one of one / TM tdf is probably worth more than a “ standard spec” 812C
Once F250 deliveries start, and (predictable) failures mount (just like SF90/296, hybrid, worthless electronics, etc) the F12tdf prices will rise higher! All will become $2m+ regardless of miles enjoyed...
Great spec! The ones with racing livery/stripes definitely goes for more. As more people realize TDF, is one of, if not the best modern Ferrari ever made, they will go for over $2M very soon.. It truly is a very special car.
