No debate, not only a word, just censorship. Funny to see the pics disappeared from the Gooding website as if by magic... https://www.goodingco.com/lot/1953-ferrari-212-europa-coupe-1/ No words for this way of proceeding...
While at it, I wonder if the restoration was based on period photos of this particular car, or one or several of its very similar sisters?
That is probably correct which would mean that the press intro was just 3 weeks after the end of the 1975 season. I forgot how early the F1 season started in that era(end of Jan. 1976). Curiously the first race for the T2 was Belgium in May 1976.
Hi everybody, came over this letely. Photo by John G. Zimmermann, currently published in a book on his work. Only hint to the picture is "Ford show". Seems to be around 1956. The car in the foreground looks similar to 0345 EU (?), then maybe 0570 M (?) to the right in the picture, finally in the backgrond 0403 GT. Can anyone confirm or correct? m.h. The 3 Ferrari chassis numbers are correct, "Sports Cars in Review Exhibit" held at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Marcel Massini
Fantastic photo, love the Virgil Exner Ghia, Siata and so many more stars, is that a Cunningham on the far right, white with blue stripes?
My copies of photos are dated 2/56, which appears to be correct as 0570M had been red in Nassau in early December 55 and repainted white before its next race in Sebring in late March 56.
Yep, found some b&w pictures of the event on the Getty Images Homepage, dating them February 3rd, 1956. m.h.
