Can anyone give me feedback on Spax shocks that they purchased for their 308 from Superformance?

Bumping this old thread, found via a Search.

To me, the appeal of this Spax shock option would be the ease of setting ride height vs. the non-adjustable OEM Koni shocks.

Has anyone here tried them, and are able to pass on their thoughts and experiences?

    Thanks - DM

Thanks for this - did you fit all 4 corners, or only do just the fronts or else just the rears?

Do the Spax struts require the use of new aftermarket springs, or can the OEM springs be used with them?

    Any pictures, by chance?

    Many thanks - DM

I did all 4 on the outlaw build, springs came with it so I don’t know about oem. I think there’s pictures in the outlaw thread, car is so light that I need to put a little weight in the nose so it’s not so stiff

Good to know. I since installed the Spax (2017) and I’m pleased with their performance.

It sounds more like excessive compression damping in the shock because there is no such thing as a car that needs weight added ;)

You know, I think you’re right. I do treat it like a tractor though

Are they adjustable? Mine (different band)are single adjustable rebound only but are preset relatively soft on compression so even with WAY stiffer than stock springs (800f/550r) the ride is quite good.

I've rides in cars though with other aftermarket setups that are just awful and bang over even small bumps.....its like the shock guys set them specifically to feel hash so people notice
