So what does an authentic Cheney clamp look like? I've been throwing hose clamps in a box for 30 years and might have a few. Are they marked "cheney"?
I believe they are an English company, Jaguars and Rolls Royce use Cheney but I don't think they are the same clamps used on early Ferraris. At on point they were selling for $100 each.
Can anyone identify this car? I understand it may no longer exist as a whole car and I'd like to catalogue it. Thanks. john https://barnfinds.com/1958-ferrari-250-gt-pf-project/
a lot of parts from the engine ar emissing on the photos hopefully one will restore the car to original again and not butcher it for a replica oh, I just see this has been in 2011 so long ago
Thank you. The color, "amaranto roma", is what you see on the dash in the auction pictures. I'm going to write it off as deceased. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know. Thanks. john
Battery box Could someone post a picture or diagram on exactly how The battery box frame is constructed..? Series 2 ..l have lots of pictures of batteries… Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Well, I’m happy to report that a 250 PF just earned a Platino at tonight’s 2023 FCA Annual Experience Awards Gala. I’m even happier to report that the 2024 FCA AE is specifically highlighting Enzo Era cars as their focus. Praise be!
1643 GT Monday 28 August 2023 at the FCA AE Field and Driving Concours in Bend/OR. One of the nicest PF Coupés in recent years. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
Was amazing to watch it be judged and then ultimately get the acclaim it deserved. Thank you for helping to contextualize it.
Just as a heads up. we do currently have the 185VR16 Cinturato CA67 in stock for this car. https://www.borrani.com/ferrari-wheels/250-pininfarina-coupe.html So do you think Cinturato were standard equipment on this car? or the Stella Bianca?
Hi John, while on Pf Coupe batteries, have you ever figured out WHY was the battery moved to the front corner of the engine compartment in late m/58 cars like yours? It was then moved back to the old place for 1959. Cheers, Kare
Various build sheets show Pirelli Cinturato, Dunlop, and Continental. No Stella Bianca that in the build sheets that I have. Also doesn't matter if 16" or 400mm rims as no consistency by brand. No brand mentioned, 5 Pirelli Cinturato, 6 Dunlop, 4 Continental, 6
Kare, it's a mystery to me as well. Mine is in the front and I can tell you that, because of the battery frame, removing/reinstalling the one-piece exhaust manifold can make a grown man cry like a baby. john
