I fear this is our last decent race of the year..
Next tracks and we will see the unstable and unpredictable SF23 coming back.

Yes! Another step towards a perfect season! Imagine that?

You all didn’t really believe Sainz could hold off Max did you? o_O Frankly I’m surprised he managed to hang on as long as he’d did and podium. Really thought Charles was going to ruin the day for the team there at the end.

Probably, but one can hope. It would be something if Ferrari finishes second with this pezzo.

I thought it was a fantastic show.

Grand scheme of things, it's only a podium, and boy did they fight hard for it. It's what we want to see...!

If this was done for the race win however...though it would be even greater to see, if it went wrong, there would be hell to pay.

Could be several years, but at least 1969. Wikipedia tells all races were won by Ford powered cars (Matra, Lotus, Brabham) that year - one GP was won by a Lola-Chevrolet but it was not part of the championship.
That was the year of Matra / Jackie Stewart win, so it's a particular year for French people :p

Talk to Charles. His silly stupid move nearly ruined a good result. Needless. Team should have enforced hold position on lap 50. Bring the cars and result home. Thats not hard to understand. Charles was ridiculous and he is the reason for the comments, not Carlos.

LEC risked making an ass of himself and destroying the team’s result…after being ordered to hold station. He had several legitimate tries and couldn’t get it done. It was the kind of petulant move one would expect from HAM. I am celebrating….SAI’s challenging LEC’s position of supremacy in the team. Leclerc ain’t Schumacher……

We’re missing the point. The point is that if he didn’t challenge Sainz, he would be accused of being submissive.

Not at all. It's all good. Did we have a spread? Don't think so.

Charles was the faster driver today, znd Cagloz defense on Max was far from perfect, but for his pole yesterday, he deserved the podium.
I belive the correct result would have been Max and both Ferraris cause they were bettwr than Checo

    Result is what it is.
They both drove well because we shouldn’t forget this SF23 is a dog of a car.
The car was sliding all over the place and Perez should be ashamed to fight with them for the whole race while driving a RB19..

How was Charles faster ? in spite of not having to destroy his tires trying to defend, and of having the benefit of DRS, he was not able to cleanly overtake Sainz.
Verstappen shows what a faster driver is when you compare him to Perez.

Of course he’s expected to challenge and rightly would have been criticized for not doing so, but not to the point of risking the team’s result…which he did….especially when his challenge clearly was not going to be successful.

Perez got second because his car helped him. Sainz got third because he helped his car.

Ferrari gave it everything they had for Monza, and achieved ....
    ... "best of the rest".
    Possibly Monza-specific car.

Ferrari might have words for Chuck, after today.
Charles was driving for himself, not for the team.

When the Ferraris were together, Chuck was all over Carlos.
But when there was a Red Bull between them, Charles backed off, even losing DRS spacing.

He had ample opportunity to put pressure on the RBs and take some off Carlos --- and didn't.

I think Chuck has just given up trying to win. He only wants to beat Carlos.
All weekend, I was wondering if Charles was sandbagging, or if he'd run out of damns to give. ;)

I'm glad Carlos got the podium. He earned it today.
I agree: Driver of the day.
