If there was any contact, I would be calling him a bonehead, but there wasn’t. Really, everyone won. We got ample entertainment, Carlos got his Monza podium, Ferrari got their points, and Charles didn’t go down like a punk.

Was that lockup before or after he was told to hold station?

Good question, I honestly don't know that part of when he was told to hold station.

Yeah, I didn’t record it and I can’t recall. If the lockup came after the order that would be inexcusable.

Any truth to the rumor that Ferrari dialed up the engine for this race? They may dial it back down to eliminate the possibility of a DNF from here on out in terms of reliability.

BTW - as Vasseur pointed out post race, they didn't say hold positions but 'no risk'.

    Irrespective, Sainz passed him.

Sainz proved today he's just as fast as Leclerc with the right support. He's really been coming through for the team lately.

Leclerc needs a sit down. His ego almost cost the time a solid result.

What a wonderful day for Powered by Honda, P1, 2, 11, 20 (Tsunoda having a Tsunoda day).
Recond 10 straight wins for Max and the world's greatest auto engineers.
Ferrari dominating qualifying at home and on the podium and getting P4, good stuff.
Extra intrigue with Sainz holding off LeClerc so we can argue about who is the better driver.

He did very well no doubt but “pretty much perfect” just isn’t enough to win.

Would have been great to see them get 1 and 2 at their Temple. :( Starting to think about getting a tattoo of a Cavallino with “maybe next year” written below it. :p

for sure. and good for LEC for making him earn it.

    They did well today.

and only 11 seconds behind max...instead of the usual 20-30... maybe they learned something.

Give Red Bull the championship and let them stay home and let the rest of the field race
