Hi guys, Just bought a 348 gts and I am currently solving some small troubles. One of those is the fact the driver side rocker panel is not adjusted with front fender and the plastic around the wheel. Clearly rocker panel should come more outside as well as the plastic around wheel. I have seen the rocker panel has screws below + 1 in front and rear. Is there screws anywhere else? Maybe behind the running board? Thank you in advance for any advise Image Unavailable, Please Login
pretty sure that panel should be under the wheel tub, its over it currently? I can check on mine later.
Hi, no , the panel is well under the black wheel plastic . However if you check my picture it seems clear to me that both the rocker panel and the wheel plastic should go to right side to match the door line.
Mine is the same, just checked, but it is lined up better. I'm not sure there's adjustments on that lower panel. Door hinge, maybe the strakes them self, they are shimmed actually
Ok so it is a lack of precision from factory The other side of the car is much better aligned. This seemed strange to me but thank you for the answers.
It seems normal that the rocker panel sits a bit "in" in relation to the wheel arch segment above it. On my 348: Image Unavailable, Please Login However, it looks like your wheel well protector should be positioned more out, up to the step in the rocker panel.
I've included a photo so you can see whats behind the sill cover. Its a bracket with a plastic lug in the relationship between the wheel arch liner and the sill cover is fixed. You may be able to undo the screw and gentle enlarge the hole inwards and srew it back down after moving the arch liner outwards a bit. One other alternative is to paint the indented part of the sill cover black so its not as obvious. If you look at Milos (yellow) wing it's the standard colouring where there is an obvious step in colouring. Yours, however, has had black applied to make the inner wing flow without that obvious ledge (as per 355 wings). If that black is just underseal etc you could always clean it off and reapply so it all lines up. TBH Its mot probably down to Ferrari build quality at the time and may be best left alone! HI guys, i unscrewed the plastic and could win some mm by adjusting the holes in it (literally making them bigger in the appropriate way). However it is clearly impossible to match perfectly the rocker line. So my opinion is that it is the ferrari quality of the 90's indeed
I forgot I took this photo last week of someone elses 348 whom I was buying some seats from. This is the ideal look in my opinion but it does appear the screw is missing from the wheel arch liner. Image Unavailable, Please Login
indeed and after some modification on my side, this one doesn't look better so let say it is the quality of italian cars in the 90's
Bodyshop just sent me this photo tonight after the front wing and outer sill were refitted. Not fitted the inner arch yet - that should be fun! I'm hoping to paint it so it has the 355 look instead of the 348 stepped look Image Unavailable, Please Login
