Rooting for the Eagles in the NFC and the Jets in the AFC…. I like Jalen Hurts a lot and would also like to see Aaron Rodgers get a good revenge season to make Green Bay look silly

Also would be nice if the Texans can start winning again

Ha, not really an Eagles fan... but my dad is from Philly, and we went together to this last Superbowl with great seats down by the field... just watching the body language of those guys, I'd say I liked Jalen a lot more than Mahomes (just personal opinion).

Yeah, probably dont need to worry about the Cowboys this year. Nothing to see here. Probably should just overlook us. No problem. We are really lousy. ;)

That might be a big ask. Not sure the California Space Cadet can manipulate both the Jets and NYC. The NFL's biggest attention whore in NFL's biggest ego pit....should be fun to watch. Where else could he end up?

Rodgers did NOTHING to help GB last year.
First, when GB was trying to resign Adams to a 4 yr deal, he told Adams he won't be there
in two years, and it was actually just one.
Second, he did nothing to help the new receivers, missed the camps, and then ridiculed
them for how they ran their routes. All stuff you figure out IN CAMP, NOT GAMES.

I have ZERO respect for that guy, he's nowhere near the Top-50 QB's of all time in
    terms of helping the team
, it's all money to him, to think otherwise you are kidding yourself.
You would never see a Manning, Brees, Aikman, Staubach, Burrow, Stabler, ANY of the greats
pull the shenanigans that clown did - he knew exactly what he was doing, just turning the screws...

I think Houston will be a lot better than the pundits think - *IF* they can get just 'decent' QB play.
Woods and Singletary will need to step up quite a bit.

    I'd agree with that.
I wish Jerry would let a real GM run the team...
They NEVER should have signed Zeke to that deal 4 years ago, EVERYONE on earth
knew what was going to happen just based on what he did at Ohio State.
They didn't use Cooper as much as they should or could have, that perplexed me,
and they let Schultz go? WTH?

    Where else?
Las Vegas, Tennessee....? Where he was also rumored to go to a year ago.

Today, if not the Jets.... Where he COULD go and and who would want to PAY him are two vastly different things.
If he was 5 years younger I'd say Miami, not sure who else would PAY him....

Hmmm, I think you might have missed my sarcasm. Zeke is gone, Cooper disappeared during away games and Schultz has been replaced with a far better Tight End (and far cheaper). Perhaps you missed the Stephon Gilmore and Brandin Cooks signing?

But you are right... we will suck.. Eagles shouldn't even worry about us and just overlook us.

Rodgers should have been traded from GB before last year. The brass there was already wanting to move on to Jordan Love, and the all the guys that had drafted Rodgers were already gone.

Agree he is more of an NBA-style prima donna than an NFL veteran.... but that's the way the whole new generation of athletes is going now that we're getting into the Gen Z age bracket.

And yes, Houston could get good fast before anyone takes notice.... I can see them being like the Lions were last year.

My gut tells me the Lions made a couple of mistakes with who they let go, the
rookie RB's had better not miss a block or Goff is gonna get hurt.

I have my doubts about CJ Stroud.
IMO - he is exactly like Mac Jones - he was surrounded by an NFL O-line, and a
plethora of first-round draft picks at WR.
I can see him be something like Tua is in Miami, if he is lucky - but Houston has a
lot of really great players - that few have ever heard of. They CAN be sneaky good.
It's all going to depend on coaching.

Aa far as the NBA 'prima donnas' go, I could say some things, but I would get banned,
or this would get moved to P/R, but the racial makeup of the clowns that pull stunts is
slanted heavily in one direction.... but that also seems to match the NFL, too.

I really hope more people play in the fantasy leagues this season, both with a team,
and in the weekly pick 'em contests.

David. Cowboys could be 0 and 10 going into Eagles game, and field a team comprised of nuns and chess players, and it would STILL be the biggest game of the year for Philly. It's one of the great rivalries in sport. What makes me and most true Eagles fans happy is when they are both healthy, powerful and winning. FLY EAGLES FLY

On paper they are, but paper doesn't win games.

    Yep.
Philly can suck and Dallas can be the best team in the game - and find a way to lose to Philly - at home.
And the exact opposite is also true.

We are about 3 seasons away from having a season where every single team will have a
legitimate chance of beating every other team.
    Except for the Jets.
Rodgers will be gone, and the GM will dump all the high-dollar players, it's 2023 or bust for the Jets,
and I feel the same about Buffalo.
(IF Rodgers bails after 2023 or 2024)

The NFL has the best collective ownership of any other major sports league…. Their ability to create parity makes for such a better product for the fans than the other sports with huge payroll disparity in their rosters.

What a performance last night by the Lions. They straight up balled the hell out. It didn't help that KC's WRs had stone hands, but that still doesn't diminish what the Lions did.

That coach has them playing hard, and they very likely will win their division this year.

I always thought the NFL had the exact same salary cap across ALL the teams?

I'd like to see two things:
    1) QB is exempt from the Cap - or the QB position has it's own, separate cap.
    2) If you signed a contract, you play under that contract until it expires (Chris Jones, Jacobs, Barkley, Evans, etc.)
You can work on a new one during the final year of the contract, but you still must play under the one YOU AGREED TO.
And if you don't, you simply don't play, you don't get paid, and no other teams hire you (I am all for collusion in this respect)

They actually do have this in place already, plus one step further than what you are asking for - players get fined for holding out while under contract, and they also do not collect a game cheque for any game that they do not participate in during their hold-out.

Jets curse is beyond belief. I literally thought rogers might either trip in the tunnel and tear acl or get hit by lightning during national anthem. Have to consider 1 minute of play to be huge success. I expect a retirement ceremony for him at halftime.

Good news for Jets: they win game. Bad news for Jets: they lose Aaron Rodgers, who knows for how long? But if Wilson-to-Wilson can keep happening, will it matter?

Did anyone else notice that every time Mahomes is going to play Rodgers, one of them is injured? When I saw the schedule this year that KC plays the Jets, I thought "finally we get to see Aaron Rodgers vs Patrick Mahomes".....and then last night happens....unreal.....so they still have never faced each other, unless Rodgers plays next year and they meet.
