You're confusing the Qantas Club / Business lounge with the Chairman's Lounge. The latter is ultra-exclusive and only accessible by invitation to the Chairs or CEO's of Qantas' major customers, who have to commit to using Qantas for all of their staff travel, domestic & international. Politicians get an invite if Qantas thinks it will help their cause in Canberra, hence Albanese being courted by Joyce for the last few years.
As if, when we fly these days rarely do we go into the lounge of any airline -10 hours stuck at BA lounge at Heathrow watching 10,000 go through in a single day was enough for us. This year due to refurbishing at Schiphol NO Business lounges, just given a 15 Euro voucher by CP! NO enjoyment in commercial flying be it at the front or down the back with the cattle people. I've suggested to Greg for GG2025-we hire a commercial Jet , it's not as if we are poor.
