Ok @Scaledetails --- I saw you bidding... how many coupes are you going to own?

 

It sometimes takes a few tries to figure out that the 3.2 model is the pick of the litter

 

Wishful thinking on my part, I would love to have this as my daily but I suspect reserve is twice current bid amount. Peter, I used to think the same way until I got my hands on a euro t coupe. To me that is the best of the series.

 

I was mostly joking with my 3.2 comment. Which model is best depends heavily on each person's individual priorities and preferences. Objectively, the "t" is better. I personally prefer the looks and simplicity of the 3.2 over the "t", but clearly the t also has significant advantages over 3.2. Everyone should try all models to find out what is the best fit for their priorities and preferences.

 

I have my second '8' now, and it's my least favorite of the Mondials. The suspension bits on the T are what made me really enjoy the 3.2 the most.

I PPI'd a T that I passed on and to another member here, it had Tubi's and he loves it. It wasn't for me.

Never driven a QV, but I like them all, just in some jumbled type of order

 

3.2 is great that you don't need the engine out.

 

So true. Everything is so easily accessible. One side the cambelt the other side the clutch. I wonder if this is the easiest Ferrari to maintain also in relation to the performance output.

 

I will go out on a limb and say the QV is better then the 8 since it has more power.

I personally am not a fan of the black bumpers on the 8 and QV - which I believe were due to local requirements, such as the Contach.
Though easily remedied by painting them body colored.

Casey is a true enthusiast and all around great guy. Id be all over this if I didnt already have a car in the works for later this year

YouTuber. Used to post a lot of really great content before the influx of other automotive YouTubers. He's only had this car a little over a year, and if you are to believe him, it's in excellent shape and has all the right history and work done, and a couple of great videos with this car. Unfortunately, shortly after something seems to have flipped with him personally, and his posts took a huge nose dive in terms of quality and attitude towards pretty much everyone. I've heard things from people who know him personally, but those aren't worth repeating here. Like with all of us, things happen. Car looks like a great buy though.

 

I still have to detail it and finish up some minor punch list items but I want to sell the '82 Azzuro Dino Blu.

If anyone is looking for an "off red" unique color, let me know. I am NOT going to be asking BaT money, just need to prep the shop space for winter storage, and that means moving the M3, the Dino and the Mondial, ASAP.

There is a want to buy ad in the Ferrari classifieds here from someone looking for a Mondial coupe.

 

It should have sold at that price.

I think I have seen T coupes go for less.

Yes, it's a very nice example, but reality is classic car values are not the sum of their costs.

No, they sure aren't. I'm far from an expert on Mondial pricing, but I've observed more than a few sales/not sales, and contrasting to what I do follow in very considerable detail (DeLoreans), it doesn't seem be hugely different - we have a relatively small market that's seasonal and fickle at best. Prices in the last 18 months for classics have been a bit of a roller coaster. I've also seem some of what I might call for lack of a better term, "Ferrari purists" go on about how cars "should have reached a certain price". etc. There's always a (albeit very tiny) collector market for the most immaculate/low mileage cars, but I'm also glad to see now that there's more tolerance for modified/driver/less than immaculate history cars as part of a broader embracing of RAD-era cars (which the Mondial is certainly a prime example of).

Hard to tell for sure from pictures but those wheels look to be convex like the ones that came on A.B.S. 328’s.

 

What interests me is that the car is a 1984 when you look at the import of mondials zero were imported to North America in 1984. But in 1985 they were imported. I’m wondering if this was built in 1983 and then titled by the state as an 1984. My 1983 was built oct of 1983 but was delivered apr of 1984. And wouldn’t this car have the 3.2 qv engine in it rather then 2.9.
