Heroic drive by Sainz! Even moreso in light of Ferrari (surprise) not putting him in the best position to defend at the end. Shame about Russell. Hopefully he will beat LuLu again next time.
He didn't get the upgrades and got a red flag when he was on his qualifying run .......... still finished 7th, he gets the upgrades next week
I've been impressed with Piastri, he's doing well as a rookie against a very quick teammate. Mistakes have been fairly rare and he's usually within a couple tenths of Lando. If the TD is the reason for RB's loss of form, even if partially, we could have 3 or 4 teams vying for wins every week. Ferrari being quick at both Monza and Singapore is encouraging, if they can also do it at a track with a lot of high speed corners, then they're back.
Ive watched each race this this year... But unfortunately today I had to be in the air just after the Ferrari double stack. I would have loved to see it unfold. I was at the fastest race in the world, The Reno air races. Unfortunately we lost two racers today to an awful accident. God Speed. Air racing is Not for the faint of heart. I'm always thankful when an F1 race is clean. That hit by Lance was pretty hard. I'm not a Lance guy, but I want everyone to come home. I wish I was in Maranello to hear the bells ring. It would be amazing.
And what folks here want, Ferrari P1, well done Mr. Sainz and P4 Powered by Honda had a come back to reality day P5, 8, 9 (not bad Mr. Lawson) and 19 (why does that guy have a seat again?)
Maybe this weekend will be the bigger test for the chasing pack. I do hope the new TD has hurt RBR more than the others, little sympathy from the others when SF were nobbled by Wolff and Co. Both RBR drivers yesterday looked average SF need to be kinder on their tyres to be in a position to make a bigger step forward. You can update a car to be 5 seconds a lap quicker but not if the 4 rubber bits touching the ground are screwed after 10 laps.
It's to do with the ride height for Red Bull. It runs lower than other cars without bouncing, but because of how bumpy this track is, ride height has to be raised and the RBR is out of it's ideal window or they risk wearing the plank too much. They had the same issue in Spa but could avoid wearing the plank too much by lifting in Eau Rouge, therefore lifting the car enough so that it wouldn't damage the plank beyond it's maximum wear. The car was certainly average here but I don't think you can say Max looked average...35 seconds ahead of Perez and both drivers had the worst possible SC and VSC scenario.
Lawson and family. This kid is going places if he keeps scoring for AT. Image Unavailable, Please Login
he's very refreshing, much like Piastri. I hope he has a drive for next year, he fully deserves it. I'd be highly surprised if he doesn't have a seat in AT next year...hell even RBR could be an outside posibility already.
Sure......he lost control of the car and was driving under pressure and failed. Aston boot licking spin again. Aston Martin: Stroll crash shows F1 commitment, not recklessness Lance Stroll's major Singapore qualifying crash that led him to withdraw from the race proves doubters wrong and underlines his commitment, says Aston Martin Formula 1 team boss Mike Krack.
I was getting so tired hearing the Dutch and Austrian national anthems. It was so refreshing to listen to the Ferrari mechanics singing "Fratelli d'Italia"!
Verstappen is much better than Perez by a long way, but he only finished one more place ahead of him compared to the starting grid. Well below average that day, I was expecting a much grittier drive from MV but hopefully he has realized, the car that is the star of the show. Perez is lucky to be in that seat. Best Tony

Lawson: “I out-qualified and beat my teammate, and scored 2 points!” Ricci Danny: “Does this look infected to you?” Mr. Spice was unavailable. For entertainment purposes only, Neither of them actually said those things.
RB runs lower which makes their downforce and aero work, or it did until TD039 which will address the grey area of putting insulation underneath the plank to soften the bottoming out and using longer fasteners to blunt the damage to the plank. These new rules just went into effect at Singapore so while it’s true they run higher on road course to begin with it’s also true their cars aren’t going to be experiencing the same advantages they had in the past with RB floor tricks. Same goes with the 018 and losing the localized movement/flex and pivoting trickery.
