    Hi Guys

I want to do my own leakdown test at home, so am just enquiring as to the best way to manually rotate the engine to get TDC? I don't want to use the starter and would prefer to do it by hand so I don't need to mess with disabling the fuel pump/injectors etc...

What's the best method? Pull all the plugs, put it in a high gear and rotate the rear wheels? Can the crank be turned underneath the car (is there enough clearance?)

    What have you guys done?

I know I could just take it to the dealer, but where's the fun in that.

6 th gear, push the car without plugs out. There is no room under the car for a wrench/socket.

OK to do it when on stands (Can you turn just one wheel?).. Rolling the car around on the ground isn't really the best approach....

Also what's a good figure for compression and leak down numbers on a 355 engine? My understanding is that leakdown is a lot lower than regular cars due to a very small piston ring gap - is that right?
