430 Scuderias WITHOUT the stripe

Id get the yellow one, i "only" got a red F430 spider myself because getting a Yellow one was near to impossible, they were either ALOT more expensive, didnt have the right options, or were just not available (in the 6months ive been searching 1 came up in yellow in our price range). if i could of gotten a yellow car i would of done,

 

Looking at sold Scuds on BAT, there are yellow, gray and black ones sold with no stripes. May be tough to find a red one without stripes.

 

I'd take the yellow

I have a red scud with stripe - but I think the yellow is probably a bit better looking; stands out from the norm

 

If it helps your decision at all, I was apprehensive about buying a yellow F430 coupe, even though it checked every other box I was looking for. After seeing the car in person I’m glad I went for it.

I think scuds look great in yellow, with or without stripes.

I love a non-red 'special' without stripes. Which is why I bought one!

 

It's funny I like the Scud without stripes and regular F430 with....

 

This is litterally the most boring and least inspiring spec you can buy such a cool car in.... to me atleast (and im sure for many others also)

I am however, interested in the back story to this car, as its LHD with KM/H odometer instead of RHD with miles in the uk...

 

It's not uncommon to have LHD Ferraris here. They've always been cheaper (at least pre-brexit...) and with Europe so close it was easy enough to find and import them.

Having a km/h speedometer is legal here but you must have some visual markers on the dial to give you some major miles/hour equivalent speeds, eg 30mph, 40, 50, 70 etc. so it will pass the annual MOT (government safety check). Most ex-EU cars got converted to MPH speedos when they were imported but in the case of the specials (CS, Scud etc) it's probably more likely to see them with km/h clocks still, since the UK versions of the spare parts were hard to find.

 

Yeah my scud is LHD and I'm in Ireland (RHD country)

For exotic cars it's more attractive now to have a LHD car so that you can sell into Europe if/when you need to - mainly due to Brexit bringing in customs for selling to the UK - and generally damaging the the British economy

I thought LHD would be a pain, but it's actually fine, you adapt after about a week.
