if im an nfl player, i would not go to jets under any circumstances. it is absolutely a curse that namath put on team in return for sb III victory. its 50 years of torture for them.

Former Packers team mate Bakhtiari is blaming Rodgers' injury on the 'turf', i.e., fake grass, I guess. Not the 1st time this is an issue....
You guys follow it more closely than I....does that make sense?

more than a few fans believe the turf put together by that 94 year old dude at the Super Bowl last year cost the Eagles the championship. I can still recall that shot of Hurt's cleats behind the bench in the 3rd quarter of that game...6 different pairs of shoes

Ok, let me ask you: you are the DC facing the Jets - who do you take away and force Zach to beat you on his own?
You take Garrett out of the game.

Beyond that, it is fun listening to idiots in other forums whining and bailing on certain teams already.

GB - a zillion folks bailed on them, but all they lost from last year was a QB and a TE they didn't even use anymore.
And the same folks forgot that GB went into KC with Love at QB and almost beat them last year.

Philly/NE didn't surprise me one bit, but the performances by Sea, Pitt, Denver, Minn, Rams really surprised me,
And Houston playing Balt close didn't shock me, Arizona staying close was a mild surprise...
I was not shocked that Clv beat Cinci - it feels like Cinci (and Buff) are regressing, mental-wise.
Buffalo cannot and never could run the ball for the last 20 years.

BUT - It's just week one.

I don't blame the field - only one guy got hurt. A 39 yr old old guy....

But I DO wish they could go back to natural grass.

I just saw the slow-motion replay of Rodgers achilles pop - made me sick to my stomach to see it.
I may not love the guy, I surely don't hate him, but this was really heartbreaking to actually see.

Yea regardless if you’re a Rodgers or Jets fan… him going down is a big loss for the NFL as a whole… a lot of upcoming prime time games will be guaranteed duds…. The Zach Wilson kid is boring as hell to watch

Otherwise, biggest surprise for me so far is the Bengals

Had to turn off 49ers Giants when ref’s threw ridiculous roughing passer flag near end of 2nd quarter on Giants.
Dont care about either team, just unwatchable what the new rules are.

Looking forward to more college games that are actually exciting.

You have a whole schedule of prime time Jets games ruined because Rodgers went down. They are just desperate to prevent the QB’s from injury.

I see a bunch of surprises:
Denver at 0-2 - I thought Sean Payton was a savior? My guess is he is gone in two years.... just like Spurrier when he went back to the Redskins, ala Joe Gibbs.
Chargers at 0-2 - I thought Kellen Moore was an Offensive guru - He BLEW the Tennesse game.
    Atlanta at 2-0
I'd like to say Minnesota at 0-2, but that doesn't really surprise me, they made zero improvements
on defense and don't have a running game. Is Akers the answer? I doubt it.

Yeah, after the 3rd or 4th dumbass flag I knew it would snowball.

We need a 4-team tournament with AZ, CHI, Car and Houston. I'd bet on Houston.

If that one made you turn off your TV, what would this one do to you - this was called as a roughing the passer, 15-yard penalty....it was 3rd and 5 at midfield, this sack would have made it 4th and about 12 with the game on the line, late in the 4th...instead, 1st down and TB goes on to win it:

Oh and Micah? Shut your ****ing mouth this week and watch tape instead of running your head and looking like an idiot on Sunday.

Parson is trash talking Tyreek Hill as well. And Hill said he is going to blind Parsons when they meet in December. Should be an interesting game on Christmas Day.
