348 Anyone have a MAF without breaking the bank?

    My car came with an unusual number of MAF's. Unbranded, 016, 018 (broken) and none of them work. One that was on the car, but not working another 018, I sent it off to fuel injection corporation to be rebuilt.

    Got it back, put it on, check engine light went off! Fantastic! Drove 10 minutes, light back on.. dang. Swapped MAF sides. Engine code moved from the 1/4 bank to the 5/8 bank. Maf cleaner on the refurbed part. Drove for a bit, light went off, woo hoo! Success! Just kidding, 5/8 light back on. Swapped again to the original 1/4 side. Played check engine light roulette and the codes jumped to the other ECU. The 016 numbered part makes the engine run terribly.

    So I'm stuck with a 1211 code. Could try to send my other broken 018 to fuel injection corporation for another $320 to see if that fixes it but i'm not sure why the refurbished one wouldn't work in the first place. With Fuel injection corps 97% success rating did I really get shafted by the 3% that goes bad?

    Waiting on a call back from their tech department. The car idles great, runs great, when I floor it it sounds great. No sputtering, no hunting (as far as I can tell). Steady 1k RPM on the tach during idle. I tried to fiddle with the screw in the picture on the intake manifold but it didn't do much and certainly didn't turn the light off.

    Any pointers? Should I stop driving the damn thing until the CEL is off despite it running good? I've gotten mixed answers on this. I'm just worried about running too rich and wearing the engine internals down.

    Car facts:
    No Cats, the body of the cats are there but there's no comb inside.
    1991 348 TS (Presumably the 2.7 motronic)
    Each MAF is set to 383 now, the one that works was originally set to 1,082 ohms for some reason??

    Cool. Fuel injection corporation told me that their rebuild of my MAF has an 18-month warranty so I'm going to send it back as well as a spare broken one i that I have. But hopefully they can see what's wrong with the original one that they rebuilt.

    Getting the MAF's sent back fixed the issue. CEL gone!
