    1950’s era Pierpont Triple Date today. I’ve had this in my project drawer for quite sometime but only recently found a parts movement for the calendar plate. Replacement parts are installed so I’m going to wear it for a day or two to see if any other issues crop up before starting the service work.

    Pretty cool day today. A good friend of mine has a son with debilitating autism. Our local AD spoke to Rolex and requested for him the off catalogue puzzle watch, which isn’t officially associated with autism but uses the autism symbolic puzzle design. The watch arrived today and the went with him to pick it up. It’s absolutely beautiful, but more importantly it is great when the right timepiece is associated with the right person. Tried it on for a bit. :)

    Picked this up today. My favorite brand—Vacheron Constantin. So classy and with a very cool movement based off the original Lemania 2310/2320 (same movement that went to the moon in the Omega Speedmaster 321). Though of course finished to VC’s standards.

    The Cornes de Vache 1955 (named for the lugs looking like cow horns) from their historique collection. 38.5 mm in rose gold with brown alligator strap.
