The gf got that one. I want the Pacific, but they really feel like a toy.
Continuing on the theme of posting pics of watches I don’t own. Had dinner with my buddy who’s the local Rolex and also Omega AD, and he was wearing this beautiful thing tonight. All I got as far as info is that it’s one of a few super limited edition vintage pocket watches that omega turned into wrist watches. I may have gotten that wrong because it was super loud in the restaurant ... either way It was wonderful. (my peasant watch in the background) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well for starters I don't go to the inner city and 2nd of all, there's a lot of places in today's world where that's not safe to wear. I left LA last year and in the last 6 months, I stopped wearing a watch completely when I was out in downtown or even in Beverly Hills. Just not worth the risk with so many gangs focused on stealing watches.
Horus strap because it looks so much better this way and I’m worth it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I actually bought three Pacifics that trip, long story. None for me, I wanted Atlantic. I'll buy Antarctic if I see one. Won't buy another Moonswatch unless I see a Neptune.
lOVE conversion pocket watches , Have a nice VC one . I really didn't think Omega made these rather after market . Good to know ..
I found out a little more about it. It's 1 of 88 limited edition, ref: 231.53.49.10.04.001 https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-aqua-terra-150m-xxl-small-seconds-49-2-mm-23153491004001 It looks like they're not using actual vintage pocket watches, rather they just made a limited edition that reproduces the look. Trying to find more info about it just out of curiosity.
Very cool . I think more should do this. They must see a market for the larger watches. Here in the VC , original movement from early 1900's . When Vacheron made watches to Sell at J.E. Caldwell in Philadelphia. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
