Its probably a fake but I saw on the Gram the other night that #0720TR had been sold to a Mexican collector in recent years and was off to Classiche in late 23 for a restoration to be done. Leads me to two things, 1 - Steve Griswold no less says the only part of 0720TR that was reused is its front tube AND 2 - I love the movie the Mask, its peak Jim Carrey!

Although again it could be any of hundreds of 250TR fakes floating around!

 

Ferrari would green light a fake during cavalcade? But then ban non red f40s from the factory ground?

I can confirm: It is 0720TR, driven at the Cavalcade by its new enthusiastic owner from Mexico.

Definitely not a California. Looks to be a 250 PF Cab series II.

I am not at all convinced. Still does not look like a Calif. Do you have anything that confirms 100% what it is?

 

I can only say the shape of the nose is not a PF Cabrio S2...

I would say it is the 250 GT California Spider SWB 1951gt, I saw it in Italy during the restoration, colour and seats are the same as this one.

 

Owner lives in Monaco, where the pic was taken.
