Yip saw that, great home for that car to go to. The original owner who had quite a few Ferrari's used to park them all around huge sort of bronze statue of Enzo Ferrari.
Yesterday I had the task to go and give a maintenance clean/wax to a car. When I stepped in, that is what I saw Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login It right away took my breath away. Then I enjoyed the intricate and deep weave pattern everywhere… Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login … Including the two bumpers (a sure sign of originality, care, and possibly low mileage). Agreed, fresh rubber is required if it is to be driven! For the new owner these original tires are good to underscore the car's low miles and be used for Concours D'Elegance originality or preservation classes, my recommendation is not to remove these from the original rims, but have a 2nd set of wheels with fresh rubber mounted for driving. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS Fiorano high-performance pneumatics were developed exclusively for Ferrari SpA for production application for their F50 as a street-legal version of the mid-90s Ferrari F1 rain tire, state-of-the-art for the period, so they are a really cool F50 application and an interesting part of the car's specification. Therefore, when you have a super-low-miles example unlikely to ever be driven, still with it's original tires, in today's high market where originality appears to be everything, that's quite special.
Just back from last visit of the F50 JF’s mechanical micro-detailing at DK Engineering before she returns home. Looking quite good and with brand new tyres and fuel cells. Thanks man, I'll add it to the list. Regarding the one at Sotheby's 107060, I sent a correction to the Barchetta website because they had it listed as Rossa Corsa lol.
Marcel Massini. Marcel, over the years I have received conflicting claims as regards some Rosso, Giallo and at least one Argento F50 with black-painted headlight buckets. My Ferrari SpA contact who's been with the company for over 30 years and was involved with F50 production tells me that these are post-production applications done by individual dealers upon request, and that in fact, all F50s were produced at Maranello with the headlight buckets painted in body color like the cars below. What are your thoughts on this, were there exceptions to the above rule he's stated to me, and, if so, is there any factory documentation stating explicitly that some non-black cars had the headlight buckets painted black at point of production? It is my understanding that black or silver painted headlight buckets were always done privately, by a dealer or individual paint shop, but not by the factory. I also have never seen written factory documentation where such an option was offered or invoiced. I do agree that all F50s were manufactured with the headlight buckets in body color. Marcel Massini
