As part of my engine overhaul, I need to think about a new clutch. I am looking for something that can handle 600hp. My research turned OS Giken, whom I am not familiar with. They have what looks like some interesting parts. Does anyone have experience with them? Any recommendations for clutch? Not so heavy it takes 2 men and a boy to push Evasive Motorsports: Clutches
Make sure to change to a hydraulic concentric slave which massively cuts efforts gt formula in Munich have all the parts
I have a tilton 7.25" 3 disc carbon-carbon. With the softest spring they offer its rated at 800ft-lb torque and the pedal is honda civic light, so light that when I first installed it the pedal cable tension spring alone was causing the clutch to slip and had to be replaced with a super lite spring. I had done a a new lever at the bellhousing to get the motion ration correct. Also not too bad as far as being digital...race clutches can be hard to drive on the street but the carbon slips pretty nice when its cold but will become digital if I'm slipping it a lot for some reason, like carbon brakes it grips better the hotter it gets. Now I have it with hydraulic mater and throw-out bearing for space with the new engine setup, but the pedal is about the same force. So really nice, but pricey No experience with the other brands but any multidisc option should meet your needs pedal force wise. Scott may have some thoughts, I think they were working with someone for street builds.
OS giken. Been working with and using their setups for yrs. Easily handle 700+ HP. The only bugger is getting them at times. Otherwise they make a complete replacement kit, flywheel to clutch and TO. Even the full race version is not difficult to actuate. Highly recommend. I'm assuming you can buy direct, if not we're also a retailer for them.
