Sounds absolutely wicked. Too bad it doesn’t come from the factory like this.

The factory has other things to consider, such as noise regulations.

Sounds good ... a bit of RS6 'fartiness' in it but certainly brings auditory pleasure back to the mid engine over the last gen.

Interestingly enough when I test drove it 'upgrade the exhaust at delivery' wasn't my first thought as is usually the case ... the car sounds shockingly good from the factory, but this certainly dials it up, although more in volume than in frequency quality. But I'd have to hear it person to determine for sure.

so far I tried to put on Vossen (GNS-1) 21 inch front wheels wrapped with 255/30/21 Michelin PS4 S and it rubs. Same exact specs as the one in the video. I had not lowered it yet even though I had also bought the Novitec springs to do it...
Buyer of Novitec beware! of course I was told it is the first time they heard a complaint. Not true and I know it as fact. I was told then that I just had to ask my dealership to adapt the front inner well by pushing it forward somehow. I will not do that and I will wrap the front wheel with 245/30/21. That should work well (the diameter should be much closer to OEM). But as I ordered 21 wheels for the back wrapped with 325/30/21 this will look really awkward. Fat tires back and skinny tires front. Hopefully by wrapping 315/30/21 this will work better...
just beware as well that Novitec springs may alter the handling as well. Seems like spring rates are a secret and the fact that Novitec offers their replacement with variable rate ones, it is pretty much a gamble now for me to mount them. I do not know if I will be able to safely track the car with them (the springs) on.
and all this was done through a vendor I thought was trustworthy... but again, I may be stupid and at fault in thinking that it was possible to "easily" mod my 296 and blindly use Novitec equipment as being equal or superior to OEM.
my F dealership will remove front and rear OEM springs next week and measure how they compare to Novitec ones. we'll see...

Those look sharp though, the wheel/tire fit looks perfect in the wheel well.

thanks for the compliment. I look forward to put them back on. and hopefully being able to lower the car a tiny bit (10mm or 15mm) to keep an aesthetically balanced look (not too low and reduce the wheel gap just a little especially at the rear).
    next week hopefully

I have watched a lot of YouTube videos from Novitec exhaust for 296, I think the OEM sound much much better. As you check YouTube you will look Novitec videos they push the car a lot and the sound too much farting sound. The OEM sounds much better in my opinion..

thanks for the suggestion. you may be right about the spacers. but at this point no one seems to care about this situation. i do not feel great about paying additional items that may not be returned if mounted... no one seems to take responsibility about selling high end and expensive parts that do not fit without further modification to the car. and I am talking about the wheels and tires. There was no discussion that spacers would be required (to avoid rubbing)

Yeah, I can see how this would be frustrating. Might be worth checking with Novitec direct?

I agree on the sound of the stock system but wonder if the particulate filter is redistricting the exhaust and the sound. Have seen a video regarding a Porsche 911 whether the guts of the filter are removed. Where I live we don't have any stinkin sniffer or other emission regulations.....

For whoever is interested in Novitec I would recommend extreme caution.
Recommended sizes for wheels with tires are not fully tested to say the least for our 296s. Their suspension springs are not tested either. The spring rates are not released by them and the ones I received are not to be used for anything else but street legal speed. The ones I have to do not follow front to rear rate balance. This will significantly alter the car behavior under heavy breaking (making them unfit for track use for sure to say the least). Real experiences from experienced driver on and off the track with the 296.
Tag Motorsport that sold me all this is completely unaware and unwilling to take responsibility for these problems. Buyer beware.
I ended up ordering new tires for my 21 inch wheels (front and rear). I will end up ordering new springs that will be custom made (as I thought the Novitec were) with the right lowering sizes and above all the rights spring rates front and rear.
This is all out of my pocket of course as both Novitec and TAG claim that they bear absolutely no responsibility about any of this. I am extremely upset to say the least.

As I ended up finding all this on my own, I wanted to share my experience on this forum. Happy to give more details in private to whomever is interested.

This is how my car looks now. Really happy with that and relieved that I found a solution for myself despite all the extra costs. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

For racing OEM will always be best option for new Ferrari. Also Novitec is not known for racing, they known for exhaust and aftermarket street looking stuff...
