Visiting my brother for the weekend. Nice little coastal town an hour south of Adelaide. Plenty of good roads around to explore. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Steve I sighted a yellow Emira yesterday and IMO it looked fabulous. It's quite noticeably smaller than the McLaren/Ferrari/Lamborghini offerings which I found appealing.
You do know we will be having them for lunch from the Oyster get chucked shack. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just as well I'm not going...can't stand 'em and I've tried several times...all the more for you mob.
Completely agree - and the fact that it almost matches them for styling is a bonus given the robustness of the drivetrain. Ok, the Emira can't match the 296, a car I'm completely in enamoured with but its a fabulously looking car. One enigma I can't resolve its how the hell a C8 trades over a significant premium over its retail price but the Lotus doesn't. I gave this Emira some serious thought - I love metallic green over tan. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2022-lotus-emira-v6-first-edition-manual-my23/OAG-AD-22249882/?Cr=3
Yeah. Run in and had oil / filter change a couple of weeks ago, so can now drive it properly. I’m genuinely thrilled with it. It’s better in every respect than I had hoped. It looks superb, drives beautifully, is comfortable, plenty fast enough for the road and everything actually works. Don’t get me wrong - I’d buy a 296 in a heartbeat if I could afford one, but do I really think it’d be 4 x better than the Emira (given it’s 4 x the price)? Not a chance. One of the best decisions I ever made was selling the 355 and getting this and a beach house in return.
