    Thanks.

Indeed, the Ferrari 308 GTB Millechiodi (Chassis # 23611) was unveiled by Pininfarina at the '77 Geneva Motor Show, but it was displayed as an experimental design.

I was wondering what was the Chassis # for the regular/production Ferrari 308 GTB car that was on display at the '77 Geneva Motor Show - and if there are any photos of the display car.

    Best,
    Humberto-

Ferraris looked so outrageous back then because everything else was so modest. see the simple sign and the everyday models. good times.
now everything is over the top.

This is not my photo but I suspect it is of the 1977 Geneva show. In that case, the 400 should be 20977, and the 365 GT4 BB possibly 19677. No idea about the Image Unavailable, Please Login blue 308 GTB in the background though.

Yes, it looks like the above photo is for the '77 Geneva Motor Show. That is consistent with Sotheby's listing below for the '76 Ferrari 521 BB (Chassis # 19677):

    https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/ff17/ferrari---leggenda-e-passione/lots/r111-1976-ferrari-512-bb/430518

    The above link states that:

"In December 1976 it was sold to SAVAF, the Ferrari importer in Switzerland, and prior to being presented at the 1977 Geneva Motor Show, it was repainted red"

    (
The car was then restored to its Azzurro Metallizzato original color.)

I am also curious about the Ferrari 308 GTB in the background.

    Best,
    Humberto-

    Hi Ramboy/David,

I was in contact with the Geneva Motor Show Editorial Manager and he confirmed that your above photo is from the '77 Geneva Motor Show. The photo matches the '77 Geneva Motor Show records, which mention the 400 Automatic in the foreground, the BB 512 (consistent with my post above), and the blue 308 GTB in the 3rd position. And behind it should be a Dino 308 GT4 which then matches with the sign ‘Dino’ above.

The Geneva Editorial Manager kindly shared the photo below of the Pininfarina stand with the Millechiodi. In fact, from that view, the Ferrari stand is out of the picture, in the adjacent hall on the right after the Bertone and Puma walls. In the background one can see the Ghia logo, which also appears on the green background between the last two support columns in your image. Unfortunately/surprisingly, the Geneva Motor Show photographer did not made a stop to the Ferrari display.

    Thanks for the feedback, David.

    Best,
    Humberto-

    Thank you for the picture.
I think there is a little confusion.
In Geneva 1977 there were two 400 Automatic: 20957 and 20959. One at ferrari booth, the other at PF booth (it is visible behind the millechiodi and the Lancia), I do not know the sn for each booth.
    20977 is not a 400 but a 512 BB.
The question is: is anyone able to identify the sn of each 400 on the respective booth?

    Fred.

Sorry for the typo. Should be 20957 on the Ferrari stand and 20959 on the Pininfarina stand.

Not of great consequence, but if one were to check post #345, this is my photo.

Cavallino #149 page 30 claims that 212 Inter chassis 0267 EU was in Paris (instead of 375 America chassis 0301 AL).

All the period pics show 0295EU... Not 0267EU nor 0301AL...

This car, 23611, was destroyed/scrapped, right?

The Millechiodi sat outside for awhile with Ferrari before being acquired by a private owner. Love the car and glad it survives.

My pleasure. I found this video of it driving around. I find the (added, huge) scuderia shields really detract but if you can look past that, the soundtrack of the video will change your life. :D
