This sketch is ace; modern, simple, elegant and classic, all at the same time. Hopefully the F167 will have these attributes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
https://www.ferrari.com/en-US/magazine/de-DE/articles/the-laferrari-a-true-trailblazer The LaFerrari was Maranello’s first production car to use electric hybrid power. The KERS (kinetic energy recovery system) https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/what-is-a-mild-hybrid-vehicle/ Definition: A mild hybrid system shoulders some of the electric load of the gasoline-fueled internal combustion engine (ICE) using a small electric battery feeding a low-output electric motor. These are most commonly referred to as 48-volt systems. https://deisupdates.ferrari.com/dnafilter/dnaresources_ln/tch/ENG/ERG_LaFerrariAperta_ENG_ed1.pdf Page 6: In addition to a conventional 12V electrical system, the vehicle also has a 480 volt high voltage system.
A small supportive 48 volt battery system is not hybrid. The Purosangue has a similar system for the active suspensions
@isot PS is not a hybrid at all. Currently, Ferrari only produces 4 hybrids (SF90,SF90Spider,296GTB,296GTS) No where in the PS manual is any mention: https://deisupdates.ferrari.com/dnafilter/dnaresources_ln/tch/ENG/F175_Soccorso_Stradale_ING.pdf The PS does have a 48V suspension, nothing to do with the engine/powertrain: https://www.mobilityengineeringtech.com/component/content/article/ae/pub/regulars/technology-reports/47801 . Innovative 48V active suspension gives Ferrari’s new crossover exceptional chassis dynamics. . Each TASV ( True Active Spool Valve ) damper integrates a liquid-cooled, 48-volt brushless electric motor with dual spool valves that independently manage rebound and compression. . As explained by Jacopo Canestri, Ferrari vehicle dynamics engineer, everything is controlled inside the dampers on multiple axes: body roll, pitch, yaw and vertical motions. Ferrari says the system can adjust the body and dampers in 50-ms bursts, faster and with greater control than any adaptive or semi-active suspension.
no doubt, nothing much happening, longest gestation EVER! The F167 is years later than typical development of a replacement model...
I heard it will be a V12 plane engine (Day said think fighter plane) Ferrari have been smart as its a plane engine this has gotten them around the road regulations limits, Sadly weight will be factor still. Image is of the development version.
Aha! Yes! The Merlin from Maranello lives! Either that or the boffins at Ferrari have fitted a super charger to the xenomorph from Alien.
296 Challenge this year yes. But we just got the SF90 VSXX and I cant see the 499M coming this year when the F250 is due next year. So the only thing possible to me is a track only 296 XX this year with a VS version in the next 2 years https://carbuzz.com/news/exclusive-ferrari-499p-will-go-into-production-as-roadgoing-hypercar
296xx never happened maybe 296 Modificata. Sf90xx is road version not track only and it’s part of xx club. 499 it’s part of competizioni GT club so it’s very realistic to happening in next few weeks to celebrate lemans winning exactly like 488 Modificata celebrates many winning in GT category.
Is this known or just how we are seeing it? I wonder if maybe they might link in some events with the XX Program. Surely, its not a track only monster as the other XX cars, but its occurred to me they could do some things with the XX Program (this is just my own guess). Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
