I am really excited about the NFL this year, something I haven't said in a while. There are several competitive teams this year, whereas in the past it was 2 or 3 great teams, a few good teams, and the rest mediocre to bad. If Rogers doesn't get injured, it would have been really fun to watch the Jets this year. But, Zach Wilson makes it the complete opposite...he stinks.

    Agree.
Surprised how competitive Indy and Atlanta have been. Not surprised about Denver or my failed Raiders.

Atlanta and Indy are definitely a surprise. Indy is coming off a win IN Baltimore - that is definitely a statement.

As for your Raiders, their biggest mistake was signing Garoppolo....I know, I am a 49ers fan. I never did like him from the start, before he even got to SF. I remember watching him when he was in NE playing for Brady during Brady's 4 game suspension, and he was fragile as hell. When I found out SF traded for him, the first thing I thought was he will never give us 16 games in a season (17 now) and he will choke when it counts. I was 100 on both.....

And they will be terrible as long as Mark owns the team. Several owners dont care about building the best, or dont have a clue. He’s certainly on that list.

Thank you Gentlemen for the kind words, and yes, I know the reputation for Philly sports fans is generally well earned. You know, The biggest loss any team can be handed is the Super Bowl. I tool a look back to the NFL 2022 thread, and in my post of February 13 (post # 632) I congratulated Andy Reid and the Chiefs after the Iggs blew the big lead. I think we are in for a wild ride in the NFL this year and it will be fun to see some teams that have been long time doormats make the playoffs. Let's hope all of our temas stay healthy so that we can enjoy the highest level of competition. FLY EAGLES FLY

There is something wrong in Philly, they have the horses, and they added a bunch more in the draft.
something just isn't clicking - yet - but it will.
I've always said the HC isn't as important as the OC and DC, didn't Philly lost both?

Look at the Chargers - in 2022 they were AWFUL in the second half of most games, then they
added Kellen Moore and I think they are #2 in the second half this season.
Oh - and the OC for the Chargers in 2022? Where is he today? OC for Denver.....

Tremendous game in Philly today. Wash was sensational, scoring late TD with 1 second on clock. Eagles survived. A win is a win...

Do you think they miss their OC?
They look nothing like last season, almost like they are just going thru the motions....

I've never seen so much parity, as soon as a couple more teams get new QB's, it's going to be totally nuts.

Really happy to see that Houston seems to be finally turning the corner

CJ Stroud looks like the best QB in the draft…… Bryce Young too small…. and Anthony Richardson is too Cam Newton

Whisky...Philly fans are NEVER happy with OC or DC. Play calling has been mystifying at times...last couple minutes of game y'day proved that. There is no way Wash should score 31 points and yet they did. Sam Howell looked like Montana. Weird thing is Eagles are 4-0 and you won't find one guy on Broad Street who thinks they have played a good game yet this year. Hurts has not been himself.

That's because they HAVEN'T played a great game this year, anyone that follows the NFL sees that.

To ME - if you look at the complete TEAM, and how they are playing - Washington looks like a carbon-copy of KC EXCEPT at QB.
RBBC, and McLauren is Kelce, everyone else is the same, no big-time WR's. Decent defense, etc.

Dustman. Quick response on Hurts. Most believe it's the OC and HC telling him don't get hurt. Slide more, don't push for the extra yard. But he does not seem as elusive as before. Honestly, I doubt that any Philly fan questions Hurts' motivation, preparation, desire or commitment. He won me over and I had real doubts about his arm strength, accuracy, and whether he could develop the pocket passer skills required. Keith was wrong again. Iggs have a stretch in November- December where they play Cowboys, Bills, KC, SF and the Dallas again. OY!

If Robert Griffin, Cam Newton, Kaepernick, M Vick slid more, they would have lasted longer.

I'm sure getting tired of the MSM Sports people giving no respect to Houston, they have a
great team, they just don't have any 'name' superstars.

I will go ahead and say it: Patriots too. Belichick doesn't have a Brady, now his team looks like
it is playing using an offense from the 70's. Might even need to throw Pittsburgh in with 'em.

There are sooo many teams with loads of talent I can't figure out, Clv, Minn, Indy, LV, Tenn, LAC, NO,
must be the coaching, and some really nice surprises like Hou, AZ, TB

Some are really young - Car, Jets,

Some just need a complete overhaul.... Giants. Denver

    As I said on Friday....

I hope so, but the AFC is a very tough roard to hoe, when you look at:
Buff, Mia, Cinn, Balt, Chargers, KC, Jax, and then you have a whole slew of teams
that are on par with Hou: Indy, Tenn, Jets, Clv...

I am surprised with Denver, they DO have players, has the game passed Sean Payton by?
He was not that great his last two years in NO, is he just missing good Assistants???
