Spoke with my dealer over the weekend. They were told April reveal. Not taking it as gospel unless others have heard similar? Also not sure if confirmed previously in thread (Not reading 191 pages sorry!) but please tell me it will not have the ugly Roma tablet in the centre and will be more along lines of 296 / sf90 with only dash screen.
Would this not just be the mule interior? I can hesitantly live with the haptic steering wheel but that tablet in the centre is going to look dated.
No matter what type of electronic dash it will date very quickly. I have no idea why they don’t take feedback from their clients. I highly doubt the millennial buyers would shun Ferrari for a steering wheel with buttons and some analog needles on the dash. The older interiors are so much more elegant and driver centric. I don’t see Patek moving to look like an Apple Watch anytime soon to cater to the new generation.
Mule or not, it is an interior that first appeared in the Daytona SP3 and, at the moment, the SP3 is the newest V12 model (limited production or not) so it is certain the next V12 model will share that same interior (dash layout, steering wheel, etc). Just read the quick MT review on the Revuelto- sounds amazing- a real drivers car- and although not a direct competitor to the F167- it will be compared. The F167 will seem underpowered unless they go either electric assist or lighten the car by a few hundred pounds to improve the power to weight ratio. It is a shame Ferrari didn’t go rear midengine V12 a la SP3 but with tamer bodywork(yeah I know front mid makes for a better GT but I want near hypercar performance in mine and rear mid would have higher performance envelope). The Testarossa despite some qualms about the design would have made a nice template for a modern TR. People would be knocking down dealers doors to get a shot at one. But I’m afraid we will get more of the same from Ferrari- some design and electronic tweaks and a mild HP bump for the “all new” F167- and we will all genuflect at the Ferrari altar while they ask and get for ever more exorbitant prices. What nonsense, I have never heard of a driver's car weighing more than 2 tons https://www.instagram.com/p/CyTl7ryO2xZ/
I guess that rules out the 812 which with fluids and driver exceed that magic number Frankly for me I think a car should be well under 3500 to be a drivers car. It’s what makes McLarens with their carbon tub a joy to drive(but not own due to the British car reliability issues-yeah I know not true but ask the service guys and they’ll tell you the truth- “It’s a British car”). Imagine a 720S with the 812engine in the back-OMG! Hey wait- isn’t that what the SP3 is? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Not really. More like 1750 kg with fluids. without a driver. But I agree that weight is just a number. By all first-drive accounts, the Revuelto is brilliant to drive.
What the F is the center tablet doing there? I have seen too many of them in the uber rides these days.
Is it just me or the hood dipping towards the windshield creating a sort of V shape front to back give it a Viper vibe? Don’t mean that as a negative it’s just an interesting design decision.
this digital display and haptic buttons is one of the few things i dislike about the SP3... that and the too race-focused seating... i would prefer it to be a better road car with adjustable seats and steering wheel and possibly leather interior instead this alcantara 70's suede shoes.
