I debated it. The thinking was...... for only a few thousand more I could fix a problem and add value to my home.

    Obviously backfired.

Also, there's really not alot of information out there about adding lifts after the fact.

If anyone has any real information about adding a lift, I'm all ears. More than a link to buy.

My brother has an F8 Spider and got the novitec lift kit installed over at wheels boutique in Miami. I'd assume you can have your dealer install the kit or have a reputable shop do it in your city. It works great.

And evidently reputable driveway installers too. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist).

I would have the dealer do the install then. It shouldn't be that difficult for them.

Trade car in on one with a factory lift.

I believe your car is slammed..ultra low? Raise it up but still lower than stock…would that work?

The fact that your contractor agreed to both give your money back AND repair your driveway is a massive win IMO. My advice is do it immediately before they flake or change their mind . This way, you are out no money and can appease your wife. Maybe buy her a nice gift for f ing up and making things a mess for a summer. If you don’t and your wife is walking up and down during the winter she will be even more pissed off every day and no one needs that!

Then I’d just either convert your car back to stock. Adding a lift may work but maybe it won’t be enough and you’ll be out more money and have non OEM stuff that could affect resale. Honestly, it was a good effort and lesson learned but you can factor this driveway stuff in with future car purchases.

I'll sell the car before owning a stock car.

Maybe I need to sell the car and get a 3 wheeler.

Too much to read !!!!! :)

Sorry mate but what you got into is with a bunch of amateurs.

Lick your wounds , get out of it and let professionals hum start and finish the job.

I will say this is a car forum HOWEVER there are many on here that can provide EXPERIENCE in dealing with subjects. You asked too late as you already signed your life away. Add salt and you went on to belittle me. Oh well I feel sorry for your pain.

I offered the same advise but it was ignored. A simple plate would have fixed the situation.

This has to be the quote of the year.

You are certainly talking to the WRONG people. You are in Amkerica ? Just checking.

I am a site-work contractor in NYC and have done the likes of Yankee Stadium, Barclays Arena, Rockefeller Center, Hudson Yards, Javits Center, South Street Seaport, etc, etc. I've also built my own home, since that's Childs play compared.
Way to much to read here, but shocked and what I am seeing and what happens when it rains?! The water shoots into your garage / no trench drain @ the grade transition?! I think I saw you were getting all money back, so here's my suggestion. If possible engineering wise and to code w/ your municipality, I suggest you raise the elevation of your slab on grade in the garage, to the grade that is needed to raise the grade for the pitch of your driveway, so you no longer have to bottom out. If you relay this to a "competent" Engineer, they will understand and fully assess if it's achievable. Is your municipality aware of what's going on or have you been flying under the radar?

The new concrete company came out a few days ago. Quoted 25g just to do the best they can. The general contractor approved it so getting scheduled now.

Air suspension should be here in a few weeks, so I'll have the winter to install it all.
