SF 90 XX

Never gone Red on any of my Ferraris, but Rosso with Black clearly the winner here, and disguises that radar better.

 

Can't wait toread reviews and Fiorano marketed lap time.
Anybody knows when the first press releases will be online?

I think the key is the select the carbon air intake and pretty much any colour could kind of work. The carbon definitely does a good job of hiding that radar..

 

Has that been confirmed or officially noted anywhere …. ? I’m desperate to see the write ups /vids …
I’m assuming official Lap times around Fiorano will be announced at the same time - so keen to know how much faster the XX is over the standard SF90.

 

hopefully it'll be the first road to beat the 360 GT2 around Fiorano!

 

If this is indeed going to be the first XX model for the road, there should be a publicly recorded lap time, and it must be significantly faster than that of the SF90 Stradale by at least 2.5 seconds or more.

It's called XX and it is for the road indeed, but it's far from being a true XX like previous models. I mean it's a road setup with road components.

 

If anyone can do it, it's Ferrari. With numerous changes compared to the SF90 Stradale, it's possible to achieve an improved lap time of over 2 seconds. Significant time gains can be made, especially during braking. Ferrari has consistently excelled in pushing the limits so far.

 

Didn’t they already say that the boost function gives 0.25s? I would have thought the XX overall would be in the 1-2s quicker range by the time you factor in extra power, double the aero, a bit less weight and suspension differences. I reckon the aero alone could be around a second.

I think you’re ( with genuine respect)…Missing the true point … Yes , a lot ( of us ) may have tracked/raced /raved ( typo !!!!?) at various iconic tracks across Europe /ROW. I’m now a v average tracker not ‘racer’ - Miss Daisy type but happy with that as I don’t have the talent or inclination or time to devote compared to those fellow enthusiasts who I truly admire in the Uk who are truly Racers … However , (as per the old dictum “ past performance is no guarantee ..)” etc I think should Ferrarista folk , with history , passion and desire and MODIS ‘points’ be entrusted with an SF90XX car -the fact that it may not have raced at the highest ferrari level is immaterial as the whole ethos is race derived . I hope we see more pics this weekend at Finali Mondiali which unfortunately this year I can’t attend ( esp with my v personal association with car 51 and our Le Mans win) - but I’ve just been sent a lovely SF90XX livery by a good friend of mine this eve …

Car looks amazing in that photo!

 

This is truly a work of art, an excellent job that Ferrari has done there. The car looks incredibly fast. Only the carbon package is too much without it, the car actually looks more aggressive

 

now that is one stunning car.

I don’t think that they will do a road legal 499 but the trademarks 499 GTB, GTS and speciale are for the SF90 replacement in my opinion, it seems the more logical option.

 

I'm in this boat as well. Just think of the meaning of GTB, then take a look at the 499. Wouldn't make much sense

 

24h LM victory is something special for any manufacturer, more so to Ferrari.
Even if they dont have a plan for immediate use of the name, they sure want to protect it for the future.

Having said that, i doubt they will use it in any "regular" production car, be it sf90 replacement.

I think they will use it in some sort of limited series, and ask premium for it.

 

Not sure how fast the VS will be vs AF SF90 - would love to see a run at the Ring!

 

i agree, it is.
But we are talking of sf90 replacement, which is half of that, and knowing Ferrari, they wouldn't let a chance for extra profit escapes.
And why would they.
